Anyone here has experience painting rusty zinc roof before?
What's the before and after like?
What paint do you use?
Undercoat + Roof paint?

The difficult part of the whole process is the preparation work ....removal of the rust.

The dangerous part is whether the roof can support the weight of the person.

I saw factory just get banggala just paint over fading old paint with roller brush just like that.

If the roof is rusty then you need to remove rust flake first with wire brush. Water jet clean perhaps and let it dry. Then need to use water-based rust inhibitor primer. Let it dry like 2 hours and then paint with acrylic latex paint.

If you paint direct without primer, then it will corrode again fast.

Just wanted to share a Dulux (ICI) product

Dulux Hammerite, works extremely well on rust.

Nope, there's several colours to choose from. Major paint retailers do sell. Only need to apply directly. Paint retailer will explain.

I went to paint store, they said need double layer.
First layer use undercoat, then second layer use roof coating paint by nippon.
So with this, just 1 layer enough?

If you want roof coating paint as top coat, you may coat Dulux Hammerite or Nippon Zinc Phosphate Primer as based coat (1 layer)

These type of paint are rust inhibitor paint.
