I want to buy a B segment car for driving around the neighbourhood, going to work, etc. I have another car for family use.

I'm thinking of a Yaris or Jazz, or maybe an X50. My wife really doesn't want a Myvi but she might be okay with the Perodua SUV.

I want to get something for less than RM100k. My priorities are safety, comfort, NVH, low running costs.

Which car would you recommend?

X50 has long waiting time, so no
Jazz is going to be phased out soon, so no
Perodua Ativa plastic quality axia level, so no

That leaves you with Yaris, the new gen looks good and it has ADAS.

The best in B-Segment now is Nissan Almera 1.0T. From NVH, fuel consumption to safety features. Just google about it, plenty of car forumers & youtubers after did comparison test between City & Vios also feedback the latest Almera 1.0T already way ahead of the competitor in Malaysian market. The only thing people complaining is also Almera higher price tag, do check it out near year end, i believe Nissan will always give big discount to clear their stocks.

new almera is good in NVH, safety and fuel consumption.
H and T interior quality is getting lower and lower, and also their parts is damn expensive. altho their engine is bulletproof.
ativa also not bad except for those unknown rattling noise almost every perodua have.

Not many Almera on the road tho.

Maybe people scared the Jatco CVT will kaput after 100k km
