U should understand my statement. Its about price ratio to performance. Did test with my gtx1080 & rtx3060ti & rtx3080ti. Before rtx the gtx also got ray tracing with software. rtx use hardware for ray tracing. Only now many game use ray tracing. 1080p to 4k got big diferent. 4k to 8k become less. At 1 point our natural perception limit cant notice any change.

the return of investment is diminishing. this I agreed.

2k build vs 4k build, heaven and hell

4k build vs 6k, better

6k vs 8k. little better.. and so on.

This set is not worth it though, you are just paying for the ROG brand. Unless you really like the ROG aesthetics, in which case you want a ROG casing.

Also, that ASUS TUF power supply is non-modular, I'm using the 650W version. It does have nice sleeved-looking cables and it runs quiet.

this is my first time trying to get a gaming PC. Will a 3080 PC build be good for this price. Any suggested places where i can get it. Thank you

Forget about building one right now because of high GPU prices and severe shortages - you're much better off getting a PS5/Series X and a M1(x) Mac Mini over a self build PC sweat.gif

...or if you still insist on a PC and you can live with the issues of prebuilt machines (like proprietary, non-upgradeable hardware, bloatware and poor thermals), then get one from Dell/HP/Lenovo instead icon_idea.gif

I think it's a bad idea to pay inflated prices for a GPU unless you want distributors to charge more for a GPU in the future icon_idea.gif

Unless you like poor thermals and proprietary, non upgradeable parts that is tongue.gif

But seriously it's a dark time for PC gamers due to prolonged shortages (and to make things worse cryptocurrency prices are climbing back) sweat.gif
