well, check the previous thread I made for the first version surface duo 1 no one really bother about this product line it seems LOL

but now, Microsoft just announced the new generation of the Surface Duo, seems they have no plan to cancel this product



I'm all about the fresh new gadget things.. but the first version seems really like not even a half bake product.. this time around, still a half bake? that big camera bump and bezel duhhh but I hope that camera is good, flagship spec much like their Pixel, then it could be an awesome tool. Interesting product at least to me. Hope they will priced it right, I might consider it this time

Fold 3, i still skeptical with that fragile folding screen.. imagine if you break the screen after warranty ended.. become paperweight only rather than paying for new screen hefty price.. decided not to buy it yet..

Yeah... the so-called, Glass-Tic folding panel is questionable for long term investment...

Perhaps Sammy should offer 5 years Care Plus Warranty only for the folding screen... if the cost is additional RM500 for 5 years coverage (due to manufacturing defects), me would invest on the Care Plus...

Isn't the price is USD1.5K? After imported price will be close to RM7K or so. I'm longing for the dual screen after sold my LG V60 + Dual Screen few months ago. If I knew LG going to bungkus, I will keep using it until new dual screen phone came out.

What can this SD2 do?

- As a daily driver ( too big compared a smartphone today, too small battery )

- Mobile Gaming ( what is the different to compare it with Standard Smartphone today? even w/o folding screen.... ?? )

- Productivity ( I guess iphone + iPad still beat SD2 at almost same cost )

this is a product that want to beat every corner ( Mobile Phone, Tablet, Laptop )
( Bigger than phone, smaller than Tablet, lighter than laptop , all in 1 )

in the end. The product beaten by itself.
Ridiculous price tag, unconventional = less support. ( how many apps going to natively support dual screen mode? ), battery problem...

not a wannabe.. its a dual screen device, simple as that.. to me it make more sense than trying hard to make foldable screen that only makes us nervous to use a.k.a fragile

- Windows Mobile, then Lumia, then Nokia
- Microsoft Kin, Bob
- Zune
- Groove Music ( didn't know eh? trying to compete with Itune, Spotify )
- Bing ( 1st thing after install Windows, remove BING as default search )
- Skype ( the defacto of online chat and the supposed defacto on video call today )
- MSN
- Hotmail ( the original no.1 Email , now? )
- Internet Explorer ( then finally gave up and use Chromium engine )

When MS Launch a Product/software.

HIGHER ODDS it will become a flop.

Maybe you said that comparing to apple and google.. but it is among top tech giant, be real.. of course if we go down the course of history, we can point out many flaws.. so does other companies.

But then, i bet you hasn’t even see and try the product, how can be so critical.. i by no mean a supporter, but just a tech enthusiast

We as consumer should understand that all these product launching is not for us but for Orang Kaya to becum more kaya-raya... LOL...

If Microsoft fails to launch any new product lines, surely ppl will buy Apple stock leyyhhh...

I mean the product= surface duo 2.. or even the first version.. who on earth never use windows? I'm an avid Mac user since I ever purchased my own first computer, but there is no escape of using windows in school and at work and other places

RM7050 is good price with warranty some more. If import yourself you just save around RM300 after added Custom fee + GST + shipping.

So far I only see Techbug bring it in. Any other source?
