which time exactly?

he is using his thumb to hit the low-E string like a slap instead of plucking it. . . and his baby finger is hitting the body for the percussion sound. . .

and if you're talking about the harmonics(ie. the bell like tone) with the right hand, just hit the strings on the 12th and 7 fret but not too hard till it sounds like a tap. . . like, brush on the strings. . . then you get that sound

when he slap the low-E string, he's suppose to pluck the 5th string. So how do you slap while plucking? smile.gif

thats not slap.

you touch the the strings lightly with the thumb ringing it but yet create a percussive sound. as for how to pluck at the same time? err...just do it? isnt that hard. its similiar to plucking 2 strings at the same time with ur thumb and finger just that this time theres more movement and the thumb attacks the strings differently

didn't sound to me like he was slapping and plucking at the same time. And it looked like he was letting all the fingernails hit the high strings on the "slap" stroke and then brushing back up. That's what it sounded like to me anyway.
