I have a friend, got a new Redmi Note 9 (from Chyna), thinking to ship to me.

Anyone know how if it is possible to get Google Installer 3.0 working for this phone?

China version known as Redmi 10X.

So if u can find the MIUI ROM for Redmi Note 9, u can flash it. No issue.

Weird, she got it from Chyna (FOC) the box says Redmi Note 9 (not 10x)

Are these the only steps? Seems like quite straight forward.

Pre-Requirements:
-The ROM file is supported only for Redmi Note 9. Don’t try it on other devices.
-You will require a PC/Laptop and a USB Cable.
-Download and Install the latest Xiaomi USB Driver for PC.
-Mi Flash tool – Download and install it on your PC (Fastboot Method).
-Keep your device battery charged up to 60% at least for a smoother process.
-Take a complete backup of your phone data as well.

Any special issue I need to take note of?

stock rom flashing usually straightforward.. not much issue

custom rom is another story lol

I meant the Redmi Note 9 selling here, is known as Redmi 10X in China.

While there’re also Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 4G in China. I’m not sure if the hardware is exactly the same as global version Redmi Note 9, BUT the rear camera layout, battery capacity are different.

Oh, it looks like the Redmi Note 9 4G.

So is there a global firmware for this version?

I found that 9T / 9 Power are the same as note 9 4G (even though camera looks different).

Can I flash Note 9 4G with 9T rom in this case?

my friend use this model ,Also works well

my old China rom redmi note 4x... just need to install gms & playstore... don't need any flashing

I have already helped my friend to flash with the 9T Global ROM. Working very well now.
