like invite in Thai: chern
Chinese: ching

tea: cha

There are many Chinese loan word in Thai.
Some are very recent and some stratum traces back to very old reconstruction model.
Less than half a decade ago, popular historical linguistics theory believe Thai language belongs to a branch of Sino-Tibetan family.
But academic mostly abandoned this idea today.
