Or is it because I have been to quite a number of places ( ppv, hospital and nirvana) so that I'm now at higher risk to have been with people who are infected with covid (not necessarily mean I have been in contact with one)?

And it doesn't tell where got myself this status....

Usually happens when the person was in the same place (shop/supermarket/area) within 15 minutes of you being in there too.

That's why it's important for people to "checkout" your mysejahtera to eliminate this problem. Sometimes you go buy roti je not even 3 minutes go out dy. So the contact tracing would be more accurate.

back in March/April this year my status for those 2 months was casual contact. after 2 weeks return back to normal then kena casual contact again...cycle kept continuing

Referring to the definition/classification of the terms, the app can detect "casual contact"; which is hit or miss but mostly red herrings.

For "close contact", someone would have to query the covid positive person a series of questions... who he met, his work colleagues, people he living with, etc etc.

I doubt the app can identify you as a 'close contact', unless you entered a shop with personalize service such a hair salon or optician.

Casual contact isn't as dangerous as close contact. Not sure about others my is I went to KKM klinik with my dad for his blood test next day evening already got warning popup. I am certain it's there because one old lady went queue with us when she gone there for covid swab test. No they won't tell you or listed the place. You have to guess yourself.

Actually "casual contact" is a made up classification to make the app appears relevant.

Only certain shops like hair saloon or optician or massage parlor or dentist that you are in closer contact with the staff, that should have customer check-in, and customer log books would do.

When a person is confirmed covid positive, he should be interviewed by a kkm staff for contact tracking. There's no short cut or can be replaced by an app in contact tracing all possible close contacts if kkm was serious in breaking the chain of transmission.

I just got Casual Contact Status just a few days ago.
And yea, it's kinda pretty annoying to answer the same question every single day.

I didnt answer at all. it change back to green after 10 or 14 days.

If no answer i think things to do will have a long list

Check with the hotel itself because their vaccination policy

By right you are allowed but precautionwise take a PCR test before 48hours so that the hotel will not have an excuse

Yes, both of them.

Mysj trace only works if you enable it and turn on bluetooth all the time. It is said to have a radius of 10m.

Both have to have manual interpretations to separate out 'close contacts' from 'casual contacts'.

Only 'close contacts' must observe home stay orders and quarantine. Also must do swab test or self-test.

Too bad if anyone is wrongly identify as one... I don't enable Mysj trace... troublesome to explain that the 'close contacts' were next door neighbors.
