Hey guys,

I have difficulty in finding a recycling partner or a organization to collect big household electrical goods to recycle. Fyi I have a freezer about 5ft height that is no longer in use (used to be for my home business but no longer in use) and the existing recycling partner I found online need me to pay them to recycle....like What?? Why???

Do you guys have any recommendation as to which organization or company would pickup huge electrical item? I'm based in Ara Damansara btw.

Tried calling senheng on their so called free pickup e-waste recycling program, but it turned out to be a waste of time as they wanted me to buy something big from them before they are willing to come over to collect my item.

Maybe try IPC in Bandar Utama? They have a recycling center there.

Is it still working? Put in under the free section in Carousell, someone might pick it up for you.

Please don't give it away free. Sell it for a small amount like RM 50.

If it is free the collector has no qualms about dumping the entire item if, for example, all they wanted was the bulb inside. I've noticed that putting a price on the item prevents this from happening.

Yup, like the other poster said, sell it on Carousell if it's still working. You can sell it for RM 100 and you'll find quite a number of willing buyers who will go over to your house to pickup.

Also, you can try this charity: https://www.facebook.com/crcbox/
They've helped pickup a number of bulky items from me in the past for charity. FOC.
But they'll want a picture first.
Contact no: 0 17-363 8100 (They aren't working on Sundays and PHs)

Another charity pickup: 019-989 9178
Dana Pertubuhan Amal Seri Sinar

You may want to call them and ask.

Alam Flora used to come to my garden regularly initially, but now not so frequent, too bad.

This.

Since they are charity as well, they will ask if you would like to donate some money too. I usually donate rm10 or rm20.

Still better than those lorry driver tell they mafan throw for you and ask from rm50. Maybe after that sell your item too
