I vote for iPad for the long term software support, mi pad probably for better specs...also typically depends if you prefer Android or iOS better

I felt the mi pad 5 lags a little compare to the iPad 9 gen...was keen to get it the other day but changed my mind...

yeap and it’s very heavy too…the main point though is the slight lag on a new machine at the display shelves, can’t imagine using it for few months down the road..
