I am living in a kampung area. No 4g signal on the phone but if the sim is inserted in 4g modem I can get 4g. Can anyone please what is the best modem to be used? It does not matter the price. Thank you.

I am using Huawei b618 given by Telekom last time for the unifi mobile package. Beginning time was unlock version.
Now not sure. But ya that's one of the best 4g modem.
U can search b618 from lowyat forum and will have a lot of info on it.
Not mistaken besides unlock also have 2 different model I can't recall.

By now should have other better 4g modem than b618.

Try get external antenna first
Or simply place the modem closest to the tower
Use network cell info lite to find the tower

If you can handle routerOS, then go buy a second-hand Mikrotik SXT LTE6 for RM 300. Changing the IMEI number and rewriting the TTL value is trivial if you want to bypass hotspot quotas. And it can be mounted outdoor for maximum signal reception.

Force setting mobile network to 4G LTE only on your phone.
Celcom have widest 4G nationwide coverage using LTE band 1 3 7 8
So what 4G network you got with the modem ?
