Someone recommend me the best air cpu coolers? was told air coolers are more reliable ?

Currently using Corsair H100i GTX in Corsair 540 case

ASUS MAXIMUS VIII FORMULA motherboard + i7 6700k CPU

So far after years of usage. no problems with temperatures
but Quite annoying clliccccccky sound from radiator
It only happens under load or high usage

I dont know much about AIOs after 2016 but i replaced once and thinking to replace again. Maybe its better now ? idk

Temperature does not seem to have any problems. Looks identical from the day i purchase. sits around average 40c - 65c in random usage

Goes as high around 80++ only while playing high demanding games or video converting that are power hungry

CPU only slightly OCed by builder. Never really touch it since after setup

but the AIO sounds very annoying. I hear people say may be pump issue or something that often happens to AIO

FANS on the AIO are corsair SP120

So i plan to go for more reliability and does not lack performance

budget... hmm, Below 600?

Dont really want spend a thousand cpu cooler

I heard noctua D15 also have d15s version. Which one better?
i wonder can it fit in my corsair 540 case

Did not occupy the first slot of my case. Only second/third slot occupied by evga gtx980ti classified gpu

Which thermal paste do you guys recommend

I was hoping modern cpu coolers already pre-applied instead manual self paste because the outcome may differ
