Anyone coming from iphone 12?
Is the battery improvement really that significant?

QUOTE(dreamthief @ Nov 3 2021, 08:52 PM) Yes. it is significant. But if it warrants an upgrade? No. Not even with the camera, macro. Unless you are 1) handing down the phone 2) contract/subsidy 3) Just listen to heart and not brain, change. (with money to spend) QUOTE(dikae @ Nov 3 2021, 08:45 PM) I’m using the regular iPhone 12.My battery really sucks balls. See the battery going down like water sometimes. Just push mails/web browsing/FBing. Most probably the o365 outlook and Teams apps are the culprit. But they are required as we all WFH these days. Tot of getting the iPhone 13 solely for the battery upgrade. The camera system and brighter display are bonuses. |

Hi
What’s the expected delivery week if we order it via the MY apple store? I see it’s 5-7 delivery days. Wondering if it can be delivered within the same week |

QUOTE(Stitchie @ Nov 7 2021, 11:18 AM) Got some cheap leather case with magsafe, 1/5 the price. Feels pretty good, and magnet is decent. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The black case really complement the white iphone nicely. If the iphone is of darker color eg. black/navy blue then it won't be that 'contrasty'. This combo is just nice. |

Just upgraded from the regular 12 to the regular 13.
I noticed the screen is sharper for the 13. I know on paper they have the same resolution and PPI, only the max brightness are different. But still, the screen sharpest is the first thing I noticed. |

QUOTE(dikae @ Nov 10 2021, 04:29 PM) They should be the same, or maybe the brighter nits on iPhone ip13 (625 vs 800nits) make it look sharper?, or maybe just different type of panel used (some yellowish and some warmer etc) Nah. It’s. sharpness, not brightness.Anyhow I upgraded it for the battery and the camera system. So consider the screen now as a bonus haha |

QUOTE(dikae @ Nov 16 2021, 01:21 PM) just hoping we will get a better battery than the 12 series, otherwise pretty disappointing and causes anxiety.. good thing though I've given up checking on battery health, don't wanna be bothered too mucb or else paid premium for a phone just for the anxiety The battery is a major boost indeed. Coming from 12.. i can hardly get through a day with the 12 but with my current 13, easily last me more than a day. Same usage. But i like light phones. The 12's weight is just nice. This 13 is slightly heftier and bulkier. Need to get use to it. |

QUOTE(Soul Seeker @ Nov 23 2021, 12:23 PM) Dont stress yourself over battery charging issue , no matter how well you take care your battery it will degrade sooner or after. Ditto. It doesnt make sense that we bought a high end phone but still stress over thing to take care it. If i plan to use this phone more than three years i would probably replace the battery at third year. So far for the past decade i been charging my phone whenever i like in car , home , office , power bank to 100% , sometime my battery drop to 91% and when travel to office i will still charge it to 100% 😂, did i mention daily overnight charge and playing game during charging my phone everyday ? My xs max after three years the battery health is at 85% with this type of charging habit. Never once stress about it and it does serve me well. Both overnight charge and in car charging people keep mention it will kill the battery very fast but i think the current phone tech is able to handle it without any problem. My friend only charge when the battery drop to 20% and he will plug it off at 80%, never overnight charge and never use in car charger battery health at 81% for his xs max. But with the iphone 12 battery experience, ppl are more meticulous on handling their charging practises. At least I am one of them. frostier liked this post

QUOTE(frostier @ Nov 23 2021, 05:00 PM) im still using iphone 7 plus, and abusing it to the max, overnight charging, play game while charging and stuff like that No. Iphone 12 have some battery problem.Already did the battery replacement once.. now the battery currently at 78% Users see their battery health drops relatively quick within few months of use. We don't see this in older models. Hence that's why ppl are more cautious (after using Iphone 12) to preserve their battery health better in the longer run. |
