yes, super easily..less than 2 weeks already got noticeable scratches… used to polish silver steel but can’t be used on other colours…

There’s a cloth that the people on Reddit use - think its called Cape Cod or something.

Just need one for Graphite and will be good to go. I also read the screen can be polished, then apply the oleophobic coating and its ready to go.

Finally got my Apple Watch Series 7 45mm Graphite Stainless Steel with Graphite Milanese Loop from Switch.

Thanks to all the sifus here for the earlier poison. 🤭🤣

I am just in love with the new enlarged screen design. And I honestly prefer this over that rumoured boxy design that never came true. 🤩

Just finished setting up my 45mm stainless steel graphite, still stuck on reactivating back the cellular on it, need to go to a Digi store 😅

Upgraded from series 6 aluminum 44mm gps cellular.

Overall happy with the upgrade, it does feel a bit premium, and I really like the extra weight compared to my series 6 aluminum

Let’s see how fast it will get scratches as I don’t use casing or tempered glass on it. Been using naked Apple watch after upgrading from Series 1 to Series 6 cause I find it too bulky with casing

Welcome to the club.

Your glass won’t scratch so easily since its ‘Sapphire’ but its prone to cracking if hit with an impact.

The body however, is a little more delicate - mine already scuffed within the first 2 days of use with the Milanese Loop since its DLC (diamond like coating) - harder than the Stainless Steel.

Guys,

wanna ask is it worth to upgrade from AW5 to AW7?

I went from Aluminium Series 5 to Stainless Steel Series 7.

The improved screen estate is enough to convince me that I've made the right decision tongue.gif

stainless steel with sapphire crystal, you will not need the screen protector?
*
Nope, been using it naked since I got it.

The glass is somehow tougher than the body doh.gif Glass still spotless, body, got some minor scuffs.

yes u need

i naked since that day my plastic grow too many bubbles, then i accidently drop it, now minorrr scratches across the screen (sadge)

now i just glue it using uv+glass sp, should be fine now

i dont believe sapphire shxt apple tell, i believe the hardness just about the same with glass
*
Sapphire coating is scratch resistant, not impact resistant. Its the other way around for the Alu Glass version. At the end of the day, glass is still glass.

the damage is on slide upon the impact, hence a cross mark , nothing to do with impact resistant

apple use mix sapphire coating, its not like expensive watch with full sapphire, hardness level is around a glass(true sapphire are much harder to scratch)
so again, keep your watch safe and protect it, i warn others because some do really thought sapphire glass are tough

the watch drop from my mini table, the table height is around 2 feet up

so protect it with screen protector if u want to keep it look nice, even plastic one are fine
*
Yeah, doesn’t matter if it’s dropped face down or sideways, it will still be broken, so it’s still caused by impact - and of course Apple won’t be using true sapphire.

Mind to share how to polish? Which type of cloth and what liquid to use?
*
Note that not all polish / polishing cloths are compatible with just any Stainless Steel surfaces - only the Silver one can be polished. The Graphite and Rose Gold (gold one) cannot be polished due to the coating used.

Use at your own risk.
