 Unifi 800Mbps, epic or steam download speed

hi, i am no sure if this is normal but dowloading from epic store or steam only gave e ama of 32~42MBps,

i though get around 90~100+ correct?

advertised speed is only true for TM's own speedtest server. Other services, or servers don't count.

Are u downloading the files into SSD?
If steam download to HDD,the speed lower is normal,because steam download files always are compressed,so the processor had to extract to the HDD at the same time causing the HDD full load.

maybe my cpu is too old? its a I5 2500k oc 4.1

Next time when u download,u can open task manager to see which hardware is full usage.
Or u using wifi or wired?

Server also got cap to you as individual downloader, nobody allocate 800mbps to single user.

i suspected that much, so my CPU throttled my download speed due to it being old,

sad i used to get 80~90 on average

Quite possible to get full speed from Steam if wired LAN, maybe even on AX, but depends on many things. CPU, HD/SSD, routing, time of day, etc...

well , not sure on that , since i can never get back what i used to get ,ussed to get 110MBps on steam , still getting 25~30MBps only..

using direct cat6 cables,

but yes my cpu is old,
I5 2500k stock speed now
16gb rams
samsung SSD
gtx 970

maybe thats why?
