I never understand 4K monitors. My 1080p already clear and sharp enough. Furthermore, no need to invest on expensive GC to support them.

for watching movies, if you appreciate good colors, pick the one with high brightness and color reproduction.. but it might cost more..
something like HP OMEN 27i Monitor.

I haven't tried the monitor that you are considering but I'm using this instead and is of fantastic quality. No complaint for movie and high res gaming man. Same here I spend lots of time watching movies with my gf and playing Genshin when she's not around. thumbup.gif

Your current PC specs and exact make and model of those monitors? IMHO I'd pick the 27 1440p 155Hz because 4K at 28 will end up making text very small (but very crisp) and 1080p is better suited for 23-25 inch panels icon_idea.gif

4K is a hard resolution to drive even with modern GPUs icon_idea.gif

Also, go for a 144Hz+ panel if you haven't experienced high refresh rates before brows.gif

I do aware of that wink.gif

The main issue is that some legacy applications can look quite blurry when scaled, and that 4K is much more suited for 32 inch monitors and above (plus you get some nice screen real estate) icon_idea.gif

One nice thing about HiDPI panels is that you have very nice and sharp text, so there's that icon_idea.gif

If you are spend most of your time watching videos perhaps a VA panel monitor may suit you better due to high static contrast ratio, but you might want to deal with poor motion handing and black smearing icon_idea.gif

one more point you need to consider is height adjustment, because when we watching movie sometime we change our position of sitting or lying..
if you able to adjust it, the watching experience is more enjoyable.

This is my next target PA278QV, I checked out before at IT shop, the colour accuracy memang the BEST.

i think IPS still better. VA is fine too, as long as it's not TN.
