Ya, estimated:
E: RM12xk
V: RM13xk
RS: RM14xk
*
My dealer quoted me exactly RM10K less for each model. OK not 10K exactly but maybe around RM5K

E: RM115K
V: RM125k
RS: RM135k

So in my case, I was hoping to save my 30k, put it to work and generate a good return in 5 to 6 years. By then it would've been enough for a regular myvi or slightly higher type of car.

But that would've meant no SUV ever, and that's what pisses my wife since she say then can't get what she wants, while i get to save our finance in a 165k Current Value package. Her counter point is why not just spend the 165k on a CR-V today, enjoy the utility, and later get a cheapo car to replace the her oldie....

To that I said that 165k current value spent is no money ever made and by the 12th year, we will end up having a clunker of a CRV.

So guys its not even a technical thing its a financial thing and I am too cold and calculative haha.

(Otherwise I also would've booked a V spec for the creature comforts).

Anyway, we made the compromise, let her decide in the future, she is feelign much better today. One her side she also say she will try to be prudent with her next choice.

Hope I don't suddenly develop bad knees and chuck my FE too soon though.

Your problems are not car problems. They are relationship problems.

Hi guys. Just want to check with you all on the android auto connection to HU. What android auto apps you all use? Seems no choices at google play store. Only 1 ftom Malaysia. Any recommendation on safe apk from internet? Thanks
*
From the play store, you can download this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...ead&hl=en&gl=US

If you aren't able to download (for whatever reason) you can download sideload the APK from here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/an...2-6201-release/ But be careful on which version you are installing. Not sure if all will work depending on your phone.

On a side note, I downloaded the Honda Connect app for my phone. But I think because my bootloader is unlocked on Android, it doesn't allow me to login to the app. LOL.

Will be getting my car on Saturday.

Hi guys. Got my car on Saturday. Fairly happy with it. Firstly I'm not a car guy. Secondly, I'm all about the practicality of owning a car so I'm not going to sweat the small stuff (like the paint job unless it is very very obvious)

I'm coming from a Toyota Vios 2017 so nearly everything about the Civic 2022 is better. The only thing that annoys me is that there is no 360 camera. I'm baffled that this was a feature on a RM80K car 5 years ago but isn't a feature on a RM138K car (or even higher. BMWs don't have this feature as well).

Anyway I have three main questions:

1. Can someone just advise me what is the best value for money protective film/coating . Last time for my Vios I went for Ceramic Pro. Like I said, I'm not a car guy, so I'm not sure if that was a good decision or not. It seemed to do its job.

2. Since the car has wireless Apple Carplay, what is stopping it from getting wireless Android Auto in the future? I'm sure on a fundamental level, their technologies work the same. If Honda ever start supporting wireless Android Auto, would the Civic 2022 be able to receive that upgrade?

3. Is there a way to turn off lanewatch?

Thank you.

I'd say first thing is to check and refill your tyre pressure. I am getting 300kPa which is excessively high and made me question my purchase immediately. Then when putting back 220kPa per manufacturer setting, it felt soooo much better.
*
Thanks. Will check this. Ride doesn't feel too hard. But then again, I'm not a car guy.

I saw some AA wireless dongles that just launched by Motorola (Motorola MA1). Not yet out in Malaysia. Will check it out in the future.

This is for the in-car navigation system only right? Can this be integrated with Waze on Apple Carplay?
*
With android auto, can confirm it is integrated to Google Maps. Expect the same with Apple Carplay

your android phone itself support wireless android auto or not?

you need to enable wifi and stop any other wifi connection
QUOTE(isr25 @ Mar 6 2022, 02:03 PM)
You need to pair again. Delete pairing on both the car and your phone. Enable wifi & bluetooth. Follow the guide below
Tried it but still didn't work. My phone shows up as an Android Auto option on the Honda display, but when selecting it, it doesn't work.
I have a Google Pixel 5 with Android 12. Oh well. If it doesn't work then too bad.

So Civic FE autonomous driving is really not good ? Especially traffic jam low speed follow the car steering will not able to auto steer ? Until speed above 72km/h, and it will not able to handle very curve/tight turning road and it use stop working without warning ?

That all sound like the Honda Sensing is not up to par, other than autonomous braking that works.

I remember test drive the car at old klang road, when SA told me honda sensing cannot handle U-TURN, need to step break and take over else it will follow the set speed and do the turning which will crash. And it does not give any warning.

Thanks. With this guy's comment I finally got it to work. The issue was driving mode was not set to ON. In the previous tutorials I read online, it was not stated.

This may be a very stupid question, but did any of you get jumper cables with your new Honda Civic. Couldn't find any.

Nothing. Pay insurance for what? Just buy a new car. Might be more difficult now with supply issues.

For those who have Wireless Android Auto working, do you guys face a problem where phone calls are not routed through your car speaker correctly? They can only be routed through your phone speaker.

This can be "fixed" by unpairing from Android Auto, connecting via bluetooth then pairing again to android auto. But this is super leceh. Anyone have any other ideas on how to get around this problem?

if you bought a shiny BMW and it rattles, you are well within your rights to bark like hell and make social media noises until they fix it for you. At least that means it is unlikely to happen or it is unexpected to happen and or it is expected to be fixed.

this is the way things work now. Expectations....

If you have a Honda you can cry in silence or go to some kind of specialist like above said, I guess.
*
untrue. friend had this problem with his new 3 series. bitch and moan social media, complain to BMW but nothing done.
he traded in his new 3 series (not even 1 month) for a X3. now X3 also has rattling noise.

so yeah, BMW is not even considered a luxury anymore where they need to protect their image.

Hi, what you writing here. Was driving BMW 3 series, complaint then trade in to X3, ain’t this also another BMW?
*
Yes. He had a BMW 3 series. Due to the rattling not being addressed, he decided to sell the car back to BMW. He lost about RM17K as it was driven for 1 month-ish.
Then he got an BMW X3.
