will changing the rim size void warranty?
I know changing larger wheel, eg. 18inch look cool and all.
But before you really change from 16inch/17inch to 18inch, please really consider the pro and cons
Fuel ConsumptionI know fc can be subjective based on driving style, but there are clearly 2 category i deduce from this FE forum,
You can go to fb FE groups to assess it yourself too. there are 2 group of fc from this FE
1 group with 8 to 10km/l vs
1 group with 13 to 15km/l.
My hypothesis is that the fc range so far apart is due to wheel size. eg, E (16'), V(17') vs RS(18')

This is my fc with city and highway riding.

Acceleration & Straight Line SpeedClearly larger wheel dont help in straight line speed in civic case. This is clearly documented in Honda spec sheet
Handling & Cornering SpeedWider wheels base definitely help on grip. so if you are going 215/55R16 to 235/40ZR18. No doubt you gain more traction here.
Others to considerBut even with above pro and cons, in order to fully rip the benefit of 18inch, you do need the proper ECU tune to compensate the coriolis force from larger wheels.
You are driving a car with 16/17' ECU tune, but on a 18' wheels. So I do not know how much those pro and cons will translate on a not properly tune ECU.
And further more, you risk of damaging the suspension with different wheel specs, due to the suspensions are not working on the correct parameters.

look of aggressive stance with larger wheels and
grip, and disregarding all cons. yup, changing wheel size is the way to go.
