Now i am 40 years old. Just took RS grey for 1 week.
I plan to self install 70mai by plug in the cigarette hole these 2 days.
Install tint with 50% visibility on windscreen rather than 30% (JPJ rule).

Hi bro, do you mind to share the waiting time? Thanks!

Mileage is 20k-ish. No accidents.

To be honest, not really bothered about the condition of the car as I'd seen the way he drives, the fact that all his servicing works were done at Honda centres and I also have spare parts supplier/workshop centre acquaintances to consult around should there be any issues in the near future.

Carsome & MyTukar had actually offered him 115k & 116k respectively so I thought, why not get this off his hands lol
*
Sounds like a good deal. Knowing the owner personally enables you to know where the car has been, how it’s treated etc. There’s no perfect car but the remaining 3-4 years of warranty will give you a peace of mind for now, essentially.

Just booked appointment to check steering, got light clicking sound when turning. 2 months, 2400 KM. My SA said usually is tuk tuk sound.
*
I also notice this clicking sound, also hard to reproduce when I’m at SC. Mine to update us the result after checking it? TIA.

So this morning did sent to Sc for repairing light ticking and clicking sound when rotating the steering. Turns out it is some  mis-alignment of the airbag spring module inside the centre part of the steering wheel. Now it’s been fixed. Also fixed left rattling sound. All done within a day.

Also tested drive the CRV, first time sitting in CRV. The door closing sound is not that impressing, can feel the slight milo tin from closing door sound.
*
Hi bro, do you mind to share which SC that you go? For this issue, does it happen whenever you turn to left or right or both? It's like ticking sound, can hear like it ticks 3-4 times if made a full turn?

I got mine diagnosed and SA mentioned that it's caused by the steering rack and they have ordered the replacement steering rack kit, perhaps around 2 weeks to 1 month. I'm afraid the ticking sound still persists after they change it and might be caused by the issue you mentioned (misalignment of airbag spring module).

Thanks.

may i ask is civic 1.5 turbo RS comes with silver or black rim? i saw black in showroom , but i saw silver on street😅
*
RS 1.5 turbo comes with black rim. The one that you saw on the street could be an aftermarket one, or E/V specs converted to RS bodykit with silver rims (just guessing).

By default from factory, all RS 1.5 turbo comes with the black rims.

go with eHev then, or get V spec and install bodykit, or get RS and change to aftermarket rims, there are so many ways to do it, your wallet has the answer biggrin.gif

she will drive this new car occasionally. most of the driving will be done by me.

she just annoyed sometimes when we driving axia on highways compared to my vios, in term of power.

that is where she come from to consider civic.

but because of the reasons i've stated in above post, this is where the hybrid conversation come in.
*
I think E or V spec would suffice with your needs, drive it on eco mode and also have power on demand if you need for speed. RV for civic is generally good. Perhaps you can check carsome, mytukar etc. on civic FC resale value and could have the same projection with FE. Too early to talk about FE's resale value for now.

Nothing wrong in getting the hybrid, plenty of torque, mileage is good but can't say much about the resale value in the future, too early to tell or maybe you can use other car's hybrid model and check in the 2nd hand market.

steering rack issue - kok kok kok sound when turning

another issue with the steering is the "tik tik tik" sound when turning

both are caused by the steering rack issue or separate? i remember one member here mentioned about the clicking sounds caused by misaligned airbag pin or something...

gais..can somebody explain to me how to know if I have steering rack issue..

I notice small changes to the steering, if I slightly push to either left or right, the respond is a little bit delayed. Very small movement only..

If I do a proper turn, no such issues and this issue also not all the time..most of the days..very smooth..

next month will be 6 months with this car.
*
1. Usually when you turn you need to interfere a lot, sometimes like sangkut a bit and you need to keep adjusting

2. The steering does not go back to the centre location, it just stuck a bit to left or right depending on your issue, you can keep it's a bit "keras"

3. You can notice it if you enable Lane Keep Assist (LKA) on straight line, the minor adjustment on steering keeps happening even though on the straight line because the car keeps going left or right hence the auto minor adjustment

non-exhaustive list, that's why the symptom is called "sticky steering"

Yeah, the turn of the sterring is not smooth and it is harder to stay on the lane. Additionally, got this problem now where lane assist, collisions, and auto high beams are malfunctioning
*
Got it. Generally if it's not smooth then it's the rack, not accompanied by the "tuk tuk" sound..

weird thing about my steering rack:
1. claimed once, and happened again after 2 months
2. made the second claim, now waiting for the rack but the weird thing it's back to normal so I'm not sure whether I should proceed with it or just pray that HM will improvise the replacement parts
