QUOTE(chnwng @ Nov 28 2021, 06:17 PM) fiqqyz was asking whether Civic suitsble for those with 1 or 2 kids. So, why not? I am aware that rear seat of civic sits low hence, for elderly quite inconvenience to get in and out. My mum is 88 years old and if I were to own a Civic, I would prefer her to sit at the passenger seat than the rear. By the way, I have yet to own a Civic. i would disagree too, a couple of years ago was looking to get one, went to the showroom to test it out, once i opened the door to get in both the front and rear, i knew right away it isn't for me. Didn't even proceed with a test drive. the car simply sits too low, the ingress and egress is a very bad experience regardless of how spacious it is at the back, i could not imagine myself seating my kid in the car seat at the rear and breaking my back almost every time. Oh and don't even mention the elderly, me and my wife simply found it difficult to even enter the car

QUOTE(fiqqyz @ Nov 29 2021, 10:00 AM) Thanks for the valuable feedback. Civic was always kind of a dream car of mine but now with kids in the picture, have to reconsider my priorities haha. Will wait for the new HRV instead. yeah, i've always wanted an EK but they're simply too old now, but don't just take our word for it. Nothing beats checking it out physically, what might not be acceptable for me might work for you. the car is still fantastic value for money, it just might not be the most suitable for the family man with kids or elderly IMHO

QUOTE(lee82gx @ Mar 20 2022, 11:07 AM) VideoItβs happening all the time when I stop behind a CRV (latest version) and civic FC. See the collision warning system going nuts. Itβs common complaint in WhatsApp user group. ahh, I got this as well during my test drive over the weekend, was stopped behind a CRV. I really thought it was an imminent crash. not sure what issue it was, the SA simply said to turn off the front parking sensors and it was gone, is the front parking sensors on?

QUOTE(lee82gx @ Mar 21 2022, 12:06 PM) yes, as usual it is ON, part of the honda sensing package when you want all the collision mitigation stuff. (Car with green circle around it). If you have a chance again, perhaps can try to get explanation and clarification, why is it only happening when behind the latest CRV and Civic, or is this expected behaviour going forward? Surely they don't expect users to switch off the proximity sensor when behind a certain few types of vehicle and then switch it ON again afterward. If I recall it requires you to put your car into P (among other things). No fix? What if the car brakes by itself when there is plenty of gap / safety issue arise? (Sorry I sound like smart alec only dare to say here) but actually I missed out to voice all these things during my 1k inspection....I simply sent my wife with the car and I forgot to ask her to say all these. For sure next service I will compile a list of stuff and won't let them off so easily. ah i see, i'll try to arrange another test drive next weekend random question, is it possible to turn off the front parking sensors but still get AEB to work at least? i don't mind not having collision warning if i can just turn off the front parking sensors in the mean time

QUOTE(Silfer @ Mar 23 2022, 10:12 AM) hi, want to ask if the current gen civic is too low? last time sit my friend's ketam civic with 4 passengers going through speed hump will scratch the undercarriage (dunno correct term or not). from my short test drive, the answer is yes and no yes the height is probably similar to the FC but no, the seats and suspension are much better this time round, entry and exit is a much more pleasant experience, and flying over speed bumps is no problem either

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Oct 14 2022, 12:18 PM) Ohh lol, actually my SA offered me red RS and V spec white past few months but i didnt take after she say got ehev coming out π Maybe at east msia less demand la. Here HRV sales blown off the roof. When civic release my dad say he wonder why ppl still buy civic, but i don really care what he think cos car is a buy, so normally no give a fucuk what other think, lifeβs too short for that. Not yet married so no yet home finance minister opinion lol. And hilux is east msia best sellerπ yah HRV sales off the roof, my SA keep saying all deliveries mostly HRV, asked if I'd like to switch, I just browsed and saw the CRT TV infotainment and instant turn off

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Oct 14 2022, 12:44 PM) Yeah even my SA show me civic production they stopped for E and V spec, only RS but maybe 1-2 that month π all shift hrv. Probably they preparing for this new rs ehev also. At first booked hrv rs due to sst exempt, but then, when launching so disappointing. Most disappointed 140k car but still use that rear mirror π it is same thing like corrolla cross, 130k car but still using manual brake π nowadays see handbrake lever instant turn off. no brake hold and TSS ask u sendiri press brake or something like tat lol. Exactly, sometimes I think it's not that I wanted a civic, it's like the only one that doesn't have a fatal flaw /cacat design that I can't live with, hence become the default choice Hrv had that crt tv, cross has that crt tv and the foot parking brake, Corolla has the crt tv too, these I cannot tahan as I spend quite some time on the road I can't live with myself paying upwards 130k to stare at them

QUOTE(matrix88 @ Oct 14 2022, 01:37 PM) Civic and HRV is totally different class of car. If want SUV, then go for HRV, CRV or Cross if want sedan, then go for Civic drivability, comfort, power Civic win all cannot compare B segment and C segment. i understand this argument, since i don't really have a preference i can live with both, just a point A to point B for me and hence i end up with a civic booking

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Oct 15 2022, 07:18 AM) And u get mindfucked when u see something like this on 130-140k car. Oh this is actually an improvement, at least it supports AA/ACP ugly as hell but you should see the original HU the Corolla launched with hahaha, really mind blown how UMW think they can get away with it

QUOTE(miuk @ Mar 22 2023, 01:56 PM) Guys, I would like to ask sifu advice here. I booked my Civic V spec last year 29-Jun-22 but SA says until today still no stock. Is it so bad the stock situation after 9 months wait still no car. Anybody in similar situation? SST rebate will be finish end of this month. I wonder if Honda Malaysia will absorb the tax charges? Still no news on this.. i booked in April 2022, collected car last week, so go figure but did hear from SA say HM will compensate with some form of free service to offset the SST difference, don't hold your breath though

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ May 8 2023, 11:20 AM) this was best known as the worst tyre made by Conti. The model next, MC6 was only sold in our market only and based on user reviews for MC6, it is just ok for dry, poor on wet. Primacy Series by Michelin is known for a quiet tyre Is it that bad the MC5? no wonder i feel its a bit loud when going on higher speeds. Been itching to change the tires but i think i would just suck it up until the wear out since $$$ is tight QUOTE(squareballs @ May 15 2023, 10:28 AM) did this happen with ACC or just normal driving?
