If you havent decided, what exactly is stopping you from buying Mazda 3? I dont mean this sarcastically, I think its not a bad option and you can just proceed. You don't need to check out Corolla anymore, since you have already done so.

North american build - Surely similar enough to Japan?

The door panel can say so can flex in and out easily because the panel itself is a thin and large piece of plastic, and that same time is BARELY supported in the center. Means to say is more design choice rather than manufacturing / quality control.

The flexing thing, I can say my Civic also flexes and some other cars are stiffer. But is this a real quality issue or PERCEIVED quality? End of the day perhaps 2 more screw points would have changed the outcome significantly, which I believe was a standard in a few of my ex cars. Don't forget Honda is actually a budget car in world market and it is designed in that way for a lot of parts.

Not sure why you are being so defensive. Ppl are expecting better quality when they are paying > RM100k for a car. Is normal to have a % of lemon units due to the high sales. As we all know civic is king of c segment in Malaysia. So just admit that Honda can do a better job at here.

Ppl often compare between civic, altis and mazda3. There are ppl at here visiting thread about civic, altis and mazda3 back and forth before placing order. They want to get the best value out of it.
