I wonder, did you use the ADAS functions. I always wonder if the nowadays popular ADAS enforced vibration, forced steering correction, lane keeping, etc contribute exponentially to this issue.
i do, almost everyday could be, but pretty big design flaw if thats the case - but strange theory as it means micro adjustments to the steering wheel will cause steering rack issues
Just got out the sc for service, apparently my 12v battery is very low at 70% should be 80% and above very normal? I would expect due to the engine only turning on during higher speed driving , hence why the battery voltage is lower than usual recommended to replace RM350 lol, think a few mins drive should charge back to full
hello everyone, my car has not been able to detect my key fob so i suspect i would need to replace the battery
i mainly use the smart key fob, anyone has any idea on how to replace the battery? i see theres a notch at the bottom where i assume the battery is, but am not able to slide out.
1 year into ownership of ehev, 12 volt battery dying alrd hard to start the car as it starts in ev mode first but given some time, it will charge the battery enough so that all the electronics come to life
Mine also died. I recharged it with trickle charger for 24 hours, and managed to use it for another 7 months. Second time it died after 7 month, i didn't bother with it anymore and straight change to a new one. FYI, the batt in the engine compartment only warranty for 12 months. On a bright note, replacement cost is not very expensive for the batt. Compared to my old ford which cost RM600 bucks. It cost about 200 bucks, 1/3 of the price.
oo good idea the low battery issue getting worse and worse now if I leave the car not running for 1 or 2 days, it will have all the warning lights turn on when I start the car
200rm is not too bad for a replacement, will probably change it at the dealership when I get the chance
If anyone is interested to know, just received the email from Honda for Connect renewal. It’s RM149 for 1 year and RM329 for 2 years - Both early bird pricing
wow didn't even know need to renew the subscription haven't received this type of email before yet
thats why i am not dare to get civic lo, it is not about whether this problem is fixed or not at the end of day. The way how a car manufacturer reacts to the problem is what i care the most.
ah alright noted may i inquire which vehicle you ended up purchasing?
leaving this here for ehev owners if your 12v battery voltage is low and you're experiencing difficulty to start the car, try to remote start on the honda connect app
the honda connect app automatically tries to start the engine, which will hopefully charge your battery enough so that you can drive to your nearest workshop
If you try to turn on the car manually, it will start in ev mode first and will not have enough voltage to start the car
hi all. i am thinking to buy a civic fe 2025 e spec this month with a 13k rebate from honda. i am aware of the infamous steering rack issue, with a little information about this 2025 facelift model, is it a good deal or i should wait for another 6 months to see if things get better for this steering rack issue? thanks
doubt the steering rack issue will be revised with the facelift since the internal parts are all the same sku you'll probably just receive the upgraded grease and springs within the steering rack from the factory as apposed to the rest of us who have to bring to the sc
