Anyone know how to turn off and on the HU (besides turn off and on the car)?

My usb cable broken so the hu disable the port for protection. The error asked me to remove the device and cable and to reset the error code need to turn off and on the HU.

I tried using the knob button. But it just turn off/on the audio. I press and hold the knob but nothing happened.
*
Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds until the HU restart automatically.

Our civic fe doesnt have rear fog lamp right? Just realize there is no button for that.
*
Thank god for that. If not, we will see idiots turning on the rear fog lamps like those shitty vios drivers.

I press and hold more than 30 seconds also nothing happened. 🥺

Not sure leh. Mine confirm restart after pressing about 10-15 seconds. Probably your HU is different? Mine RS - should be the same HU as V spec.

No problem with the fuse. It works after i turn off the car and start it back.

My issue is i cant turn off and on the HU while the car is on (ehev rs). Happened when i was driving. I cant afford to stop the car just to restart the HU  😅

Another way - but leceh a bit:

1 Hold Home+Power+Previous
2 Tap "Detailed Information and Settings"
3 Hold Back+Power+Previous
4 Tap "system reboot"

Our latest Civic FE is so global, Honda Malaysia really left the heater component on the car even for CKD Melaka units.
normally they could probably save a couple hundred per car, and they'd very happily remove it.

Was trying it out just now while raining (and quite cold), very hot air😂

anyone else tried the heater function?  biggrin.gif
*
Got ah? Just increase the temperature at the climate control temperature knob?

haven't received this type of email before yet

1st 3 year is free. Need to subscribe/renew from 4th year onwards. My SA told me that from the start, so was well aware of this. The only thing we know now is how much coz they didn’t tell/haven’t finalise the price.

When did u get your car? 2021 I assume.

Jan 2022

QUOTE(KingArthurVI @ Nov 6 2024, 02:33 PM)
Quite funny how 2 years is more expensive than 1 year rclxub.gif
*
Coz discount RM50 is the same for both package. So the most worth it is 1 year for this case.

I just received my email on this renewal. I wonder if it's even required.

What do you all think?
*
If you use the features and would like to continue, yes. If you don’t need it, no.

I chose to renew 1 year coz I use the location and history tracking feature quite a bit.

When does the trial actually finish?
*
Not trial. Service is included with the car for 3 years. You can see the end date by going to Honda Connect App, Press the 3 lines on top left (iOS), General Settings, Service Package, Press your car and see the expiry date

Just a friendly reminder to anyone who faced the same issue. My car's Wireless CarPlay was not detecting my phone, tried to remove the settings both in the HU and Phone, but could not set it up again. What finally worked was to restart the HU - just shutting down and restarting the car couldn't solve the issue.

Method of restarting the HU:

1 Hold Home (🏠︎) + Power (⏻) + Previous (⏮) - around 10 seconds
2 Tap "Detailed Information and Settings"
3 Hold Back (↩) + Power (⏻) + Previous (⏮) - around 10 seconds
4 Tap "System Reboot"

After doing this, all functions worked normally again.

Will be leaving this group soon, possibly by early next month. It has been a wonderful ride using the Civic FE RS 2022 as my daily workhorse vehicle. As I am well into my 40s, I need to move away from low seated sedans and transition to higher ride SUVs.

Just booked a BYD Sealion 7 AWD and will be delivered by early next month at the latest. This will be my first car outside of Honda (City GD8, Civic FD2, Civic FC1, and Civic FE1) and of course, my first EV. The Sealion just ticks all the boxes that I wanted for my next car, and I needed a higher ride car soon for my poor back.

It has been a pleasure being part of the Honda Lowyat community throughout the years, and I hope you all have a wonderful time with the superb FE!

How much u trade in that Civic? Trade in under BYD?

Trade assisted by BYD yes, but under Sime. Not yet traded but offered around 90-92k. Have not finalized yet. Planning to go to Carro and Carsome too. Will interchange the number first before trading in the car

V specs?

RS… Terrible deal as direct sale may be able to get 105k to 110k. Hence I’m in no particular rush to make a decision where to trade in the car. Will shop around first. The BYD Sealion I was able to get 24.5k discount, so quite happy with it.

Just sharing with friends here. I just sold my car for RM98k to a car dealer who had a ready buyer. Carro offered 95k Nett and Carsome offered 96k Nett.

Dealer swooped in with 98K Nett. My car was the 2022 Honda Civic RS, is excellent condition. I left my wheel nut and Viofo A129 Pro Duo dashcam with the car - lazy to uninstall it and sell off separately.

Thus, I officially end my membership of the Honda Civic 11th Gen LYN thread. May you all enjoy your ride and ownership of the car!
