At SC now doing my 1k service @1100km. Changing the engine oil, 3.6L of 0W-20 for RM 145. Hopefully they manage to fix my rattling noises as well.

2nd review after 1100km and some highway driving

Wind noise - none till about 130km/h and it gets progressively louder as the speed climb.

Road noise - quite apparent especially on the rougher surface. No improvement from the FC (or maybe a downgrade?)

Engine/cvt noise - the CVT noise is more muted than before and I could barely hear the engine/CVT noise even at 160km/h @ 4k rpm. Tire noise a plenty that drowns everything

LKAS - works wonderfully. Doesn't bounce around, stay in the lane nicely (abit slightly to the left of the line, so if there's a car on the left, I'll have to pull the steering a little to the right). Day/night no issues detecting the lines and no issues navigating the bends at NSE. It's a nice touch when you hit your signal, and the LKAS deactivate then auto re-activate when your signal is off. 

ACC - it's bad. there's a point it braked hard at high speed because it detected a car on the other lane. Acceleration and deceleration is not linear and multiple sudden brake incidents. Such a shame when LKAS works so well but ACC is bad resulting not much point in using LKAS.

Overall fuel consumption - 13km/l (about 700km town and 400km highway drive). Best was 17.8km/l when I was cruising between 110-140km/h.

By right, they don't. Just check on the car to make sure everything is ok.

But I just want piece of mind since I want to hentam the car harder after the 1k break in. Haven't brought the car past 4k RPM yet.

Just did my 1k service @ OKR SC. Any recommended SC with 0w20 oil from drums in KV? Will likely change oil earlier at 5k since heard out of factory is using mineral oil..

untrue. friend had this problem with his new 3 series. bitch and moan social media, complain to BMW but nothing done.
he traded in his new 3 series (not even 1 month) for a X3. now X3 also has rattling noise.

so yeah, BMW is not even considered a luxury anymore where they need to protect their image.

just sent my car for 1k service, honda no recommend change engine oil. i requedt to change, they said will void warranty. do u all experience the same?

After getting oil change on 1st 1k service, I'm still getting around 10.5l/100km. Anyone else experiencing this?

Checked with the Sales as the waiting period for both HRV and Civic ranges from 9 months to 12 months.

Plus it was noted the interest rates will be raised in the next couple of months.

not to say i dont believe you, nothing in this country beggars belief anymore, but how illogical is it that if we pay tax (which supposedly is inapplicable if we get the car quickly), we get to avoid waiting. However if we don't pay the tax we get taxed anyway, when we get the car late ie 9-12 months.

Imagine how difficult was it for me to grammatically correct the above sentence and avoid time space continuum disruption...

Well it depends on the family needs. my previous car was a sedan drove for 9 years, and kids even grow up with the car. ( almost sold off and got myself a SUV for the sake of fittings kids stuff).

Family members told me next car just get a SUV. So during car shopping this year, was focusing on SUVs (CX5, CRV, Subaru SV, Toyota CC), in the end i told my wife, i prefer how a sedan drives, and the kids are now 7 and 9 years old, we don't need a big car to carry stuffs.

During the test drive, i did not bring my wife, only my parents. They mention its more spacious and comfortable den your previous car.

paid deposit and when i got the car, brought family for car ride, kids happy, wife happy. Settle.

BUt deep down in my heart, i always prefer a Sedan over SUV, to me it drives better. Not sure about Germans SUV, haven really drove one before

I just test drive civic rs.

I would say x50 ACC + Low speed follow is a bit refine than Civic.

However Civic lane keep assist is better than X50. Too bad it only works 72kmh above. It is better because of micro turning while x50 no micro turning. With x50 i feel like i fight against the steering and in long drive my hand will feel tired.

But overall it is acceptable.
Waiting time is 6-12months. Not rushing to own the car hopefully can get before march next year. 😅

so... it is CLEAR that highway = gentle.
even though pedal to the metal. if you didn't manual mode to force gear ratio without downshifting (or you properly downshift max before or during pedal to the metal) , then engine load is actually minimal as the CVT will adjust ratios to avoid high engine load and allow better turbo spooling/engagement.

key takeaway:
1) Engine RPM - I am hitting allowable red line of 6.2-6.4k, meter is 6.5k RPM red line but no way i can touch it without full manual controls.
2) Engine load:
-   low rpm, high gear/ratio and pedal to the metal = high load
-  uphill and high gear and pedal to the metal = high load (actually no need to pedal to metal also higher load, but FE CVT 100% will take VSC hill inclination sensors to downshift accordingly, so normally this scenario will never high load)
-  high rpm, high gear high speed, maximum operation = high load. (that will be easily excess of 210-220kph) yes we know honda Malaysia officially state 200 but we also know that there is no regulation for speed limiter and thus, it is also clear there are no limiters barring engine capability and car aero drag etc limits.
hell, i did over 220 kph on meter recorded on a 1.8liter cc Proton Inspira. i do not see why a turbo Civic having power equivalent to excess of 2 liter engines are not capable of doing the same.
3) Engine braking contributing engine load:
- downshifting (D > S or even to L) on hard braking during corner entry and then exit, will be high load.
Touge, track driving does this a LOT. (no i have not brought the Civic to any Touge or SIC lol.)

Exactly, sometimes I think it's not that I wanted a civic, it's like the only one that doesn't have a fatal flaw /cacat design that I can't live with, hence become the default choice

Hrv had that crt tv, cross has that crt tv and the foot parking brake, Corolla has the crt tv too, these I cannot tahan as I spend quite some time on the road

I can't live with myself paying upwards 130k to stare at them
