I’m planning to sell off my 2 year old FE already and get a Mazda instead

- rack issues
- hard seats (not comfortable for me and wife, sakit buntut
- interior, door panels, power window rattles everywhere like an old car

Other than that, it’s a good car to drive. But I don’t think I can live with it anymore especially the rack issues I’m facing.

So it all depends on you. For me I’ll just get the S70.

I test drove my relatives 2020 Mazda 3.

Suspension doesn’t feel hard like crazy to me

normally i will take online reviews, user reviews lightly, most important is i need to feel it myself.

try sitting on the civic's seats for more than 30 mins.. your ass bone will not thank you 

2 years v spec mileage 30k, 95k only.

but f it. sell off easier

Just assumed u need to change it every 6 months/10k km interval

CX30 handling definitely not as good as M3 Liftback

And no Bose speakers

For me not yet, at least not fully

I'm looking forward to maybe owning the FL5 CTR

But, see if I can get my hands on a test drive as I know few friends already having theirs.
I won't do that cuz I actually love the Civic and I'm personally ok with the steering rack issue lol

I am not fully qualified to dissect this issue. But my questions remain.
1. Why need two updates or recalls on the same issue?
- why the first time they blame improperly built steering gearbox, replaced our gearboxes with supposedly properly made ones, and now they say the worm wheel deform?
2. I can sort of understand stress and strain can deform the plastic worm wheel until the gear pitch goes out of whack and thins out the grease film.
2.1 but the solution being put more grease, can it actually last? Wouldn’t the poor meshing between the worm wheel and worm gear which are two rigid pieces be there regardless of grease fluid surrounding nearby, and still reject the coverage of grease? In other words if you have poor gear mesh, no amount of grease will solve your problem. Perhaps skeptically speaking will the grease push away anyway.

So we drill down to the 3rd why, why is the worm wheel deformed in the first place? Why isn’t it being replaced with the properly made one? Or is the design + material simply unable to last the load being applied ?

Indeed time will tell, but they have messed around with us too long and too much. Didn’t address the what if. What if a few months still problem. Why didn’t detect this during RnD and testing. Why design not fix?

It’s like we are beta testing for civic FG.
