I am going for 3M crystalline next week. My current city also 3M crystalline. Price still acceptable but not rfid friendly.
The city I sold was tinted with V kool. Expensive but rfid friendly.
*
BTW how much is the 3m?

Haha, well me myself is a person who spend few k sound proofing my 30 year old car, so I also might have expected more for a brand spanking new car, D-segment nonetheless
Anybody knows if the speakers in the 11th Gen Civic is better than the 10th Gen Accord?
inb4 more speakers better sound, which is clearly not the case

Some says 6.5" mid range for the front and 3" co-axial for rear, some says 5" so dunno which is which until see actual?

Finally took delivery of a new car after 14 yrs... Gonna DIY paint correction tomorrow evening after tinting. Planning to use IGL EZ graphene (more resistant to water spots) this time around as opposed to using cheap China brand mcm DPro on other rides.

How long to do guys actually wait before coating your new rides?

Eager to see your IGL results bro! biggrin.gif

Plan is use TW Ceramic Polish & Wax, let it sit for a week then IPA it before applying IGL EZ. Did this trick on beemer and results were much better/durable/smooth when compared to immediately coat after polish. Then again maybe it's just me...😂😂😂

QUOTE(sbd @ Apr 17 2022, 07:25 PM)
A lot of people are of the view that it may be better to just repaint the car after x number of years given the cost of coating these days.
*
If stingy bugger like me whose DIY, washes it myself almost weekly and maintain 4-6 mths with either ceramic or graphene spray coating, it's worth coating (12 yrs old beemer sample below)...😆😆😆

I've seen coating appearing on ig and fb costing less than $600 though what's actually done is unknown

Damned.. Getting old for this DIY. Halfway with TW Ceramic Polish & Wax. Lucky very little defect, I'm impressed with the quality paint 😛

Word of adv to when you take the car, need to clean all windows and windscreen as there's heavy water mark and need to do at least waxing if you're not sending for coating

Any recommendations for car floor mats?
*
I bought the 20m thick floor mat non slip @ $230 from same dealer who installed Rayno S7 tint for my ride

QUOTE(Hean @ Apr 19 2022, 06:26 PM)
Why so many people are buying dodo mats instead of trapo?

Paying $700 for a set of floor mat just can't swallow..😅

QUOTE(Hean @ Apr 19 2022, 08:02 PM)
Really? Thought they were the pioneer. Lucky haven’t buy yet although can get full set with boot at 550

Some people got money to to burn...? Sometimes it's the hype..😆 anyway I do wash the floor mat at least once a month

Since many forumer here reported of rattling sound. When i'm alone, i always drive my car without radio on, so i can catch any rattling sound and report it on my 10k maintenance.
And the area i stayed and travelled often, is "not for human to stay" area. the road is full of pot holes especially after the recent K.Valley flood.
And now the car is around 6k on the odometer.

So i would say my car is fairly "break-in"

But I still cant catch a single rattling sound.

The only sound i could identified that is close to rattling sound, is when i go over huge speed bumps, there is a single creek sound as tho the dashboard plastic was flexing. But even that, it does not happen often. I generally think the dashboard flexing sound over huge speed bump an acceptable sound. since we cant stop the car chassis from flexing.

I wonder all these quality issue like rattling sound occurred on cars that honda recently rushed out from factory to meet june SST?

My car was collected on mid of Feb 2022, and manufactured date was Dec 2021. Its the 480th civic FE honda malaysia produced.

Mine is quiet except for road noise although only less than 200km 😅

Off topic a bit, noticed the battery is seated in a box like compartment with some foam padding per picture below. Will this compartment helps to mitigate heat and extend battery life?

Noted but heard FC notorious for its battery lasting less than 2 yrs. Since FE battery is DIN seated in the box, only time will tell if it can lasts longer than 2 yrs

BTW are you guys getting the same DIN battery of NS70 equivalent?

Any reason why the dashcam is placed so low until the whole unit can be seen fro outside instead of just the lense? Wouldn't the passenger's view be obstructed slightly?

U use fuse tap or hardwired?

Hi guys, my rear windscreen having the light refraction issue especially at night, as the rear car headlight is refracted along the demister lines.

I heard friends said it is normal as the demister lines are there with the tinted film but seems some people not having this issue, just to check with you guys does this happen to you all rear windscreen too?

FYI for those whose installing Ddpai Z40 and experience having problem keeping connected between the dashcam and iPhone, do disconnect with the car wifi. I had this problem since 2 mths back since getting Z40 and only managed to resolved after visiting the LzD seller.
