There was a program that's called BackOrifice. It was marvelous. First you do a ping sweep of ip addresses. Those that had trojans installed will return u their exact ip address. Boy, u could remote into that sucker's computer and do whatever u want. Normally, hunting would go on mirc channels, chat them up, whilst looking at their personal files. Sometimes, u can find out their identities and they would freak out. U could turn their screen upside down, eject their cd-rom drive. Hahaha

Once I found a pedo with shitloads of pictures. I went ahead and destroyed his pc. Deleted all the windows system files so he can't boot up.

Windoze 3.1 back then.

Had Netscape, Internet Explorer, Telnet, ICQ, mIRC and AOL IM.

Used to telnet into several BBSes namely Brinta, ISCA and Shadow.

Hahahaha... used to be quite the big deal to receive an email back then... who'd have known there would be a time in future that one could have too many work related emails. Used to need to have a telnet client in order to check the uni emails.

Hohohoho..... back then a true sign that you're an internet junkie is when during the uni term breaks you'd dial long distance just to access your uni email laugh.gif

Soooooooo thankful during freshman year of uni internet was by means of an ADSL 512KB line and in my junior year we had a 1Mbit fibre line in our dorm rooms.

I learnt to write my first website in notepad and build the logo with Windows Paint.

Also back then online got lot of freebies, I manage to sign up for a dot com domain for free for a month & run my fan page, made my first pay check online courier to me from the state.
