Hi,

So i have book 1 night stay in a 5 star hotel in KL, the room type is a king bed. But after i booked and received their confirmation email, the maximum capacity is 1 guest. Wth… king bed can fit at least 2 pax

Now i know most of u guys will ask me call and check with hotel, before that i have tried to “manage my booking”, try to add extra guest but it says need to book extra room. Why i dont want directly call hotel and ask? Because i worry they might mark down me so when i check in, they will ensure i am coming alone

What if i secretly bring that person up? I ask the second person to wait somewhere, once i done with check in procedure, i went up and come down again to bring the second person up

This booking can be cancelled and fully refunded but i am trying to save the RM100+ To book those bigger room that can fit 2 pax in the hotel room booking capacity page.

I think its totally brainless, king bed only for 1 pax, its more than enough for the 2nd pax

What would u guys do if u are in my situation?

But, you can just give the room number to your fubu, hotel wont check.

Btw, the other tered saying keep doing entry level job but got money for 5 star hotel gang bang session pula. Macam doesnt add up one your story

That depends on d hotel staff whether to stop you or not

Knowing ppl here, with "i paid therefore its mine mentality" most staffs here generally want to avoid confrontation and tutup one mata

But for 5 star high security hotels - like those near embassies n host important guest etc - they will check

+if you bring additional ppl up without registering n pay for it = no insurance coverage if any accidents

+its a law here (and international) that guest must register ..
+With current kobid situation - might be complicated if got +ve cases .... This might complicate your operasi .. If any SOP spot checks by gov - then susah d the hotel cause didn't keep track of ppl going in ..


(Last time when i work in reception for 5* american hotel got check due to high security - can see from d way ppl act when want to bring extra guest up, easy to spot - most of the time - i just write their name and ask what time they leaving and keep track ... Pre kobid time)

just like you take grab they only allow 1 passenger.

you can curi curi sleep 2 person, hotel dont really care but because of covid SOP probably they will check. cause if you get caught by authorities, the hotel operator will get fine, you will also get fine.

that is what happen with those electrician now that do not have the miti letter but operate secretly. once neighbour report, both the owner and electrician kena saman RM 5k and RM 10k each. my electrician told me belakang bayar, 2k settle. owner need pay 5k to settle.

you can try, if you dont get caught or complaint from others then nothing happen

Generally, room pax is based on the bed provided. If is one bed, doesnt matter king, queen or single, it is meant for 1 person. Some guests prefer a bigger size bed and the price will be higher compare to just a 1.5 single bed room.

If one wants to 'share' a room, one should book a room with 2 beds or a family suite.

Many hotels know no two person without relationship will share a common bed, hence is stated for 1 pax but if your 'friend' dont mind, I doubt the hotel will be concerned if is just additional 1 'body'.

I run a Airbnb currently and my place is comfortable for 6 pax .... meaning everyone has a bed. I do have guests that check in with 10 adults .... how they sleep .... I leave it to them to sort it out.

I don't think they care if you bring someone to your room. It is stated 1 pax so they only need to supply amenities for one person.

They don't care and won't check. Unless you make enough noise to cause mgmt to send to check noise complaints. So don't do that.

That's why got ppl saying the hotel industry is a sunset industry already with the airbnb. With the restriction, the industry probably going downhill faster.

Double room for 2 persons can be one Queen or King size bed or two single beds depending on customer's preference.

Just call up to ask the hotel with your confirmation number

You can't sneak in because everyone has to scan mysehahtera and most likely someone is going to be there to ask for that person room number.

If unlucky, some guest saw a group checking in, your best bet is they might call authority to check the whole premise.

You have to read the listings. Every hotels have different ways to classified room pax. If is not stated, a room is meant for one.

Similar, a studio in Airbnb is meant for 1 if host didnt specify.

The size of bed is not the only factor that detetmine the pax. Some hotels take into consideration the room size for the comfort of their guest.

Take Genting rooms for example. Their rooms are so tiny and can only fit one. For a couple, it will be very tight.

A responsible operator will test all appliances b4 the guests arrive. If indeed it breakdowns during the stay, is unvoidable.

If it breakdiwn b4 the guest check in and cannot be repaired on time, an option is given to the guests whether he wants a refund or a discount.

A responsible long term operator wouldnt want a poor review which will affect future bookings.

Reading the reviews b4 booking is the key to a happy stay. There are many fly by night operators offering cheap rates for the impossible.

If you complain about my unit, I will give a refund ...no question ask. Is not easy to achieved superhost status with consistent reviews.

There are some operators still doing, depending on purpose. Home quarantine and short months rental still ok.

if you want to play safe call first & ask concierge. if you live-on-the-edge kinda person, just bulldoze through.

either way you & partner will have to check-in due to covid

The booking platform has nothing to do with the host if the dates are open for booking.

Once the guest booked, the host will be notified.

Just book a hotel room for 2 adults. Whatever you do after that is your own business. Trying to stuff two people into a room for one is a no-no, regardless of the room size.

Call them up and see, they may question nature of stay too. previously i tried to book a room but was informed u can only book for business / work / doctor appointment purpose or quarantine.

u check in at OYO , maybe you will encounter such problems

Lol i called them this morning, they said the room booking is for 1 pax even though i book for 2. Asked me to rebook so i cancel it in agoda and waiting them to refund

i have used agoda for very long time and i’m their platinum level user, i have good deals while booking this hotel so if i use booking.com, i might have to start from zero 😅

In that case you should book direct with the hotel. Most of the time they will give you similar rate ( if u know how to ask nicely )

Dunno.. i always book for one room. They never ask one or two person. Breakfast coupon also received two. Only choices when booking is want twin bed or double bed.
