I personally think the z9x or z1000 pro considerations would be base on your usage, I'm not too sure the image or audio would be better

as for me because I purely stream from NAS and I can't afford the z1000 pro, hence I go for the cheapskate z9x

i m of the opposite - need a smaller base box to fit into the cabinet, hence z10pro more suitable.

the specs point to almost the same except for the physical look.

if i can, wud prefer a box that can house a sata drive as it will be neater to fit one inside.

z9x is probably better value.. undecided...


btw, what about the firmware of zidoo - do updates get done OTA or manual?

may be problem if i buy one with old firmware...?

we all know how important the updates and support is, seems zidoo doing quite an ok job if u not nit picking

The components seem better than Z1000pro, given that you have XRL and RAM is 4GB. Dune website selling @ US699..... but sold out already...

Wondering if ordered directly from their website, how much the landed cost and whether need SIRIM certification or not.

think risky for high value equipment.... tax, SIRIM, warranty issues...

in fact my dune no given issue for past 10 years.... just that after kena lightning strike, a bit siao siao, sometime start up navigate until certain movies, it will reboot itself....

So now my dune is kept in box liao...

wait i strike lottery, then maybe can try dune player...

no, i stick to AndroidTV - very good for ATV apps, incl free ones given by Unifi.
