Looking forward to this. I'm a big fan of the books. It's sort of a mix of LOTR and GOT.

Such a long story dunno how many seasons it will take to tell the whole story. And at the risk of being cancelled some more half way.

At least the books are finished, unlike GoT. That's why last 2 seasons of GoT were fxx screwed up.

WOT has 14 books, I think possible to do in 7 seasons (GOT has 8 seasons). Some character arcs could be dropped, without harming the basic storyline.

The LOTR actors would be too old now.. 😆

So it should be different actors. Plus the prequel is set at a time a few thousand years before.

3 episodes will be released on 19 Nov. After that, it's 1 episode each week for the balance of 5 episodes (8 episodes total).

Watch the tv series first then only read the books otherwise you will be disappointed as too many changes made in the series. Hope season two will be better.

Pretty weak S1. Lots of buildups without any payoff and that finale where bunch of stuff happen without any explanation is just terrible.

Last episode was confusing..n a lot didn't follow the books.

But the homecoming of the Seanchan at the end , looks cool. So hopefully, we get better Season 2.

Guess TV/movie adaptation just cannot follow 100% source material

Like the Witcher basically has 3 different adaptation already, the original novel, the game, then the Netflix series, all 3 are very very different from each others

I have some problem following the netflix series after playing the game, read the book then the show laugh.gif

guess I'll hold on reading the WoT novels then

You can read the first book now but avoid the rest to keep your suspense when watching the series.

finally got time to finish the whole S1

not bad IMO, very high budget production, entertaining, although they can improve on the paces which are a bit inconsistent

They've filmed this with non-book reader in mind, so no complaints from me on what true to the books and what's not, unlike I've played the game, read the book of The Witcher, and have lots of complaints over the altered plots of the Netflix series tongue.gif

Anyway, not many decent high fantasy series are out there at the moment, but this is one of the better one, can't wait for the S2, as well as the LOTR series thumbup.gif
