I started using reusable cloth pads since 2 years ago, and never regretted it. Disposable pads makes me itch, and it's very wasteful. I love my cloth pads because they're all very pretty designs and help make my period more "fun" than just pain and suffering.

It takes a lot of effort to wash them - but I got used to the habit, so it's not a problem for me. Also, they're not cheap to buy (because I buy high-quality pads from Etsy), it's more of an upfront investment for something that can last you for the next 5-8 years.
