I am sorely disappointed with NG2. How in the world did Itagaki manage to ruin what was once the greatest console action game ever made? Seriously, he has some how made NG2 a lot easier than NG1 but at the same time a hell of a lot cheaper. So now instead of being challenged when I play Ninja Gaiden 2, I just feel annoyed. Anyway I have 4 more chpts left before I can put away this p.o.s. permantly.

The hardest difficulty isn't immediately available biggrin.gif. You need to beat the game on the Way of the Warrior difficulty to unlock Way of the Mentor. Beat that and you get the hardest difficulty. To be honest though the game is such a disappointment that I don't see anyone really bothering.

As for the game being hard here are a few tips:
1) block and counter
2) diving swallow is your best friend
3) keep on moving.

The camera is garbage, and you'll take cheap hits from offscreen all the time. Block and do reverse winds to get out of the way quick. Spam diving swallows to kill multiple enemies without having to have a direct visual bead on them. Use the auto lock-on function of the bow and arrow to kill aerial enemies. The lunar staff maximally upgraded does killer damage to most bosses. With that you should breeze through the game apart from some of the Valor Challenges.
