depends
if kampung organic egg, high possible chances its fertilized - kampung free range chickens, where chickens roam around and mix (got male cocks around)

but if you buy omega etc - those chickens usually dont mix with males one - so eggs are not fertilized

quail eggs - burung puyuh - high chance its fertilized because very hard to differentiate males vs females .. sometimes in a cage of 20 females, got 1 or 2 males inside

for eggs to hatch, its not an easy process
1 ) you must make sure the temperature is perfect, warm .. and air is moist
2 ) every 4 - 8 hours need to rotate the eggs
3 ) after day 14 (for chickens, i think, some shorter, some longer) or so - cannot rotate anymore - quarantine time - let it hatch d

most ppl buy an incubator - you can diy yourself with thermostat an you need an egg candler to see whether the eggs are fertilised and developing

anyway, been thinking of hatching supermarket shelf eggs for sometime after watching the video back in jan/feb

can get the incubator whole set (but not fun) at least myr 80+ (ugly looking incubator) - have many locals here DIY and sell, but theirs is very professional / expensive looking ones



luckily, before doing all that - i found another hobby .. something else to do .. so didnt go through with it
