Mother (67) had a small brain hemorrhage almost 2 months ago. She felt numb on her left side of her body.
Something she ate triggered it. She has high blood pressure and diabetes.
Walked with walker...stick. She's getting better now.
So, what kind of nuts are good for brain? Walnut? Almond? Hazel?

Besides the shape of walnut like a brain(is what the older generation believed), it is probably due to the high omega-3 or more specifically DHA content in the nuts which has shown to help with cognitive function. May consider other nuts like cashews and pistachios. Almond and hazelnut is on the lower end of the list in terms of omega-3 content though. But nuts like these are considered fats as well, so be moderate on them as well!

That can be reversed with proper diet & nutrition (NOT DIET AS IN WEIGHT LOSS TYPE, BUT TYPE OF DIETARY INTAKE). Talk to a dietician. I am not qualified to dish out advice but I can tell you clinical studies in recent years have scientifically proven this. Walnut is good, so is macadamia, pecan and almonds. But in moderate amounts as it still raises blood sugar level.

Reduced the carbs to a very minimum, say.. 30g or lower a day…
Best type of nuts are high in carbs..
Walnut , almond , pecans..
Best to take in a very small portion..
Nuts are very easy to overdo.
Gotta be very careful.

Avoid any sort of nuts that has high carb contents. Walnut is the healthiest amongst all the options you listed. If your mom has high BP and diabetes, it is not surprising she has some soft of hemorrhaging. I advise that you persuade her to completely cut carbs from her diet as well. (look up Type 3 diabetes)
