there's not much story involved in MHF series you can jump right in the action
I suggest just jump right in MHF2.

Having various weapons has its uses,
if you done the training you'll find some weapons
are more efficient in taking down a monster compared
to a longswords.

each weapons has its pros and cons.

mhp2g is only about 2 week plus away.

I opt for a more frontal approach...
you can ultilize the poison dagger they provide you
that should takecare of the windbarrier, once thats down
focus on the head; flinch it and the barrier will be off
for a period of time, do this enough off comes the horn
as well as the barrier.

still boils down to personal preference,
but i still like LS against Khusa coz you can easily hit
Khusa while he is airborne.

it doesnt matter what weapon you use, but the objective is to break
the horns first. The rest is history.

i think mounting board would be doable option
sturdy yet affordable.

your best bet for mounting board is at ART SHOPS
I think an A2 or A1 size will be big enuff.

this is a skill based game, not your average beat up.
wailing aimless combo at monsters will get you no where. . . except an express ticket
back to your base in a kittycart.

This game revolves highly on how well u learn and observe a particular monster's pattern
once you nail that down, you'll know when to unleash your combos and when not to.


for starters I reckon pickup a Sword and shield. easy straight forward weapon.
and go test it out on giadrome, eventually work your way up to bigger wyverns.

or you can try your luck in any Popular book store.
