as i read in gamefaqs forum.. the media install is to help u extract a few media/sound file into MSPD..
this is to load ur game & sound faster than before..
i'm not sure about this statement but if its true then it would help u to load faster..
in my opinion, media install just to extract soundfile for faster loading if u r using UMD MHP2G..
So don't hav to install media if using Ai-Ess-Oooh.. 'i think'
u can just try to play 1st without install the media..
then install it to compare.. if nothing improve then u can just delete the media folder from ur MSPD..

that's what i'm talking about.. all japs.. i dun hav the feel to play when i can't understand..
As i read in gamefaqs forum, there's a chinese translation patch already out.. really fast huh..

Apparently, the cat fighter can't join u in Treasure hunting, guild hall quest & lao shan + gaoren quest..
So u can only bring it in solo elder quest..
