long story short, beginning of COVID, I adopted 2 stray puppies.
groom them, fed them, and now they're one year old plus and weigh 20-30kg each.

I thought I would want to get them registered to avoid any legal problems that may arise, but it seems the city councils are "hell bent" on restricting them.
Not wrong, since most mongrels just become a nuisance.

IMO, fees, vaccination requirements are not a problem.

I am living in Shah Alam.
I'm reading through the TNC and it seem that there might be a small hiccup in my plans.

1. MBSA is a bit strict, you can only keep 2 dogs if you are at a corner lot or bungalow or semi-D. my house is in the middle, so restricted to 1.
Wondering whether leniency would be allowed if one can proof the premise is large enough. MBPJ/MBSJ does it on a per sqft basis, not strictly what type of house.

2. Mongrels need to be neutered. As a man, I have reservations of doing it to another male because what comes around, goes around.
Can pass as Telomia? or council people dont go through as detail?

I understand why these restrictions are in place. So, I have so far never purposely let them out on their own etc.
However, the restrictions do feel like a minor hindrance to me.
So, any advise on getting it done the proper way?

What is the benefits? I see cons only.

kinda why im asking.
the legal fees is similar to a single Mcdonald's happy meal, but everything else makes things more restrictive.

Main Benefits, I would say you get to take your dog with you when you wanna go overseas etc or can argue with your neighbour with a paper from town council to back you up.

Everyone I know who has dogs have them registered. Shots up to date, dewormed, neutered and whatever else that is necessary.

Don't have pets if you do not want to take responsibility for them.

I honestly, I've done all those except cutting off their balls.
some people circumcise their kids, some dont.
I draw the line at genital mutilation.

I understand the rationale behind it, since most idiots just let their dogs run around like feral beast and fuck the world literally.
I dont.

also, the question remains with quota.
like having 2 kids during china's 1 child era

If your neighbours and neighbourhood is cool about it, then no need lah.

If you foresee some trouble then just register for one dog only.

50/50
some people ignore them, some are afraid of them
then, you also have some guys who are cool because they themselves practically running illegal chicken farm in their backyard.
if they lipot me, i lose 2 dogs, then i counter report, they lose their precious cock fighting past time innocent.gif

I'm doing number 3 right now basically.
If they escape, chase them down.
Give them enough space to play with inside and take them out often so they dont have incentive to run out.

Make sure they dont harm children around and make sure the children understand that they are not a danger, but not harmless.
