Meaning can’t increase volume if use WhatsApp or music apps. Please help ... I'm using the headphonr jack 3.5mm version

Why is my earpod wired earphone unable to adjust the volume on the mic there when listen to song on laptop and android phone ..But when tested on iPhone, it’s working pula.
