 EarPods wired earphone, Want to ask you guys

Why is my earpod wired earphone unable to adjust the volume on the mic there when listen to song on laptop and android phone ..But when tested on iPhone, it’s working pula.

Meaning can’t increase volume if use WhatsApp or music apps. Please help ... I'm using the headphonr jack 3.5mm version

who told you apple allows you to use their proprietary accessories with other devices

inb4 apple purposely reversed the terminal at the 3.5mm jack so only apple products can use the volume controls

Unfortunately Apple products are always proprietary that benefits its own ecosystem only. I use this for my meetings via my work laptop and manually adjust the volume via Windows.

Wired are the best for long meetings, unfortunately.

Thank you very much for your explanation. That explains why I connect to my iPhone it works on the volume control, when I use android it didn’t do anything. TQ
