Galaxy Tab A7. Teclast . Alldocube.. Lenovo Tab. All good choice under rm1k...But Tablet under rm1k is mainly for media consumption not productivity..

recently purchased huawei tablet forgot which model, but priced at 1499
Reason is for online learning, using udemy.

It served the purposed, but anything related with google cannot used, even chrome was installed, I cannot logged in and sync the chrome with my account.

So the tablet pretty much for udemy and watching youtube (youtube vanced)

budget old ipad also suck ass, cannot open many browser tabs with their puny 1-2GB RAM

if one of your browser tab play video, or a lot of picture = use a lot of RAM, other tab will get unloaded, the next time you visit Ipad will force reload whole website.

get something like Teclast M40 pro.. better ram, storage, screen and overall performance. The processor may not be idle but still better acceptable.

I'm having a P20HD bought so far really no issue for daily browsing shopping in lazada ok jer. haha and that's the lower end model.

honestly, just top up the 500 and get the ipad at 1499, it is the default option for tablets for a good reason.

all these android tablets below 1k mostly tak boleh pakai one, lag like hell, dont believe me just go to samsung store or something and play their cheap tablet, you press home screen to get out of the demo app also damn lag already and take few seconds for the apps to appear

as much as i dislike Apple but i have to agree with this. ipad is indeed the standard/benchmark for RM1.5k it's really not too much to ask for unlike their phones. Personally if i have 1.6k to splurge i'll also go for an ipad.

if i were you, i would add a bit more and get ipad base model or previous year's model

Rm8xx can get. Can play games too got gaming review on older iplay 40 not 40H. However I think it's a bit expensive for this brand which unlikely to upgrade new android I think.

This. Cheap cheap good good. Stock Android 10 with GMS. Lapsapda sell less than RM500 for (model) P20HD

But, don't expect super fast performance. Good enough for browsing net, reading pdf ebook, JewTube (4GB RAM). Some reviewers say ok for games but since don't play games, no comments. Screen 10.1" big enough, resolution & colour rendition good enough for my use. (I find my old Honor 20 phone chipset Kirin 980 is faster than Teclast P20 chipset UNISOC)

Screen overly bright (especially indoor) even at absolute minimum setting. Damn irritating at night.
Battery lasts about 6-7 hours use on WiFi (web browsing & JewTube). Need to charge twice a day (takes about 3 hours to charge from 20+% to full).
Don't bother with the camera, absolutely sucks.
Occasionally lag while web browsing. Just have to hit Home button to exit Chrome and immediately go back into Chrome again.


If willing to pay RM200 more, go for Huawei Mediapad T10s. But I think it doesn't come with GMS. For user experience, I find Huawei have much satisfying user experience vs Teclast (especially on screen brightness, Huawei can be dim down much lower than Teclast).

Samsung Tab A7 is decent but don't expect good performance for high end games.

u guys are really promoting brand saja.. for that price range really now worth it.

3gb ram, 32gb rom, TFT panel how can it be good oh. TFT panel is going to give you all sorts of not smooth user experience in general.

Compared to Teclast and the other china competitor.. they are giving you a 2k IPS panel, double the ram, quadraple the storage. Well the china processor isn't the best but for such a low price tag i wouldn't complain man. also can slot in sim card leh.

yup, the performance/optimisation/battery life and most importantly longevity is unequalled in the tablet space let alone low end tablets!

Here got gaming review on older iplay 40. New one is iplay 40H difference is newer android 11 I guess.

yup can't deny that man.. on top of that not all tablets could still be working fine after 5 years that's for sure. so even if my friends were asking for opinion my number 1 recommendation would automatically go to an ipad. Unless budget really a concern then those china tablet will come out.

At home i have 2 tablets laying around a A7 and a Teclast P20HD... i really can vouch for the china tablet for RM399? it's as good as the A7. i may want to buy the higher end models like M40 and give it a try but it's a waste of money though cause i don't need them. hahahaha

ram 2GB or less is pure misery today.

why say so ah? those RM8xx from the chinese competitor they are even giving you metal/aloi body leh...

If you wanna get Galaxy Tab A7 Lite...I give you 2 warning.

1. Watch Netflix... you're stuck with SD 480p quality. Want to watch at HD 720p? Kenot. Coz tablet only have Widewine L3 DRM even though the screen is 800p.

2. Touch response is the worst. Not because of already slow cpu. Sometimes when typing or tapping on screen, touch won't response immediately or doesn't register until you go back & tap again.

i realize the higher end tablets all in the range of RM800-900 from Teclast, Iplay, Maibenben, Alldocube they are all having the similar spec. Only difference is the body construction haha. i suspect all same factory.

that's the issue with TFT panel. always giving this problem.

There's 2 thing i will avoid at all cost when it comes to phone and tablet and that's
1) TFT panel
2) emmc

avoid at all cost!

Yea I think so too. My issue with these is I think they won't give upgrade to android 😅. They look nice I am hoping to get new ones at 7xx. I don't feel like I need it atm so I won't buy at 8xx pricing.

depends highly on what you want to do with the tablet. if just normal browsing then get those china tablet. by specs they look good. hardware should last you sometime. but if you're concern on security update can consider getting fire tablet. mine is already on the 4th year. bought it around 350 in 2017. using it as my workshop tool to scan and fix cars. so far its been rugged and able to take alot of abuse without any protection. although its still on android 7 i'm still getting security updates from time to time. just only short of ram, and if you intend to run anything extensive, you will see a slight delay, but still no where lag. I would say its a good table if you don't mind the low ram, slightly dim display and slightly soft speakers. but you do get stereo dolby speakers which is a plus side. I used to use this tablet to watch movie while on flight. but nowadays i've just convert it into a tool. its pays itself and made alot of money for me

my teclast died within 1 year plus...1st screen non responsive etc then cannot recharge then died

now use firehd 8...to read manga...spec not that good, but durable...my kid throw it a lot haha

yes, now can install android apps. can even install linux app if you are into that.

Windows on tablet never a good experience from UI perspective. You are not gonna enjoy it and slow. Better get a surface.

Careful. If get a very low price, then its ok. Because Apple has a tendency to make ur old ipads obsolete with new patch and updates. 😅

I personally owned many tablets, some cheaplug KNN Commies™ shit to Teclast to Mi to Lenovo to Apple to Microsoft Surface.

Generally all KNN Commies™ tablets, including Lenovo and Mi, will give you weird shit problems over time.
It is just a matter of time. And you don't get to have the support from these KNN Commies™.

I strongly recommend Apple iPad if you want consistent performance and support.
There is NO tablet as good as iPad at below MYR1.5K.

yea, i once bought a huawei mediapad, KNS I ONLY USED LESS THAN 1 MONTH ALREADY LAG LIKE FARK.

even ts buy previous year version of ipad also can last him at least 4years with normal usage.
