Hi Switchers,

Would like to check, at KL, is there any recommend shop to repair Nintendo Switch?
Looks like is battery problem as i cannot switch on the console even after charging for 1-2 hours..

there are battery empty logo on the screen.. even during charges, the charging logo will appear also.
But problem is, i cannot even switch on the console even i plugged in the charger.

Not necessary, Nintendo Switch power delivery chips are notorious for failing.

If you have a USB amp meter, check if the Switch is pulling up current when charging, and start to diagnose from there. Are you using the official charger?

Yes, the Switch is very picky on the charger, it may not be pulling enough current to charge when it is charging from 0%. Try use the official one.

However....if you have been using your laptop charger to charge your Nintendo Switch all these while, then one of the power delivery chip could be very well fried (Could be M92T36 chip, or the USB C port, have to verify). This is not your fault though, Nintendo Switch is using a proprietary and non-standard USB-C Power Delivery standard. You can read up here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/com..._and_overdraws/

In short, the Switch will overdraw and pull up more current than it can take if charge with non-official USB-C PD charger, and fry itself.

Thanks Xaphier... but if this frying issue really happened, then no choice i would need to repair the switch already right?

Unfortunately yes, you would have to replace the IC chip.

But considering that your Switch is dying from NOT charging for too long, I doubt it was charging issue. I would let the Switch charge with the official charger for couple of hours and see how it goes.
