I'd go with MSI. More ram. The processor difference isn't that big.

Also, if you care about gaming, why don't you consider the Gigabyte G5? The 3060 on the Gigabyte is much more powerful.

Why are they bad? Build quality?
What laptop do you recommend for budget below RM5000?

GF65 has bad build+cooling+perf
Dash F15 has bad perf

For 3060 laptop under RM5k u need to make some sacrifices like lower GPU TGP, no MUX, poor screen

You can check out Acer Nitro 5, I think it is good and within your budget. Their Shopee page is also doing 11.11 sales now so you can grab it at a good deal.

Probably too late to say this, but although Gigabyte have their own dedicated lineups, the G and A series (including G5) could be a Clevo-rebrand. Even the control centre looks similar to the ones seen in Level 51 laptops. Not that it is bad. Clevo are a brand that look after gamer needs so performance is going to be there. However, I just feel that people need to be informed about the difference when compared to the Aorus and Aero lineups. There are some quirks on Clevo laptop designs that might not suit everyone's taste.

The Lenovo Legions, HP Omens, Gigabyte Aorus, and Acer Helios 300 lineups look like great starting points to consider for mid-budget gaming laptops with fewer compromises. However, it is likely you have to add another RM500~1000 to get one of these. Otherwise, I guess the lower Acer Nitro lineup should suffice but make sure to find out what they are compromising.

I have a Gigabyte G5, it is a Clevo NH55DPQ rebrand
Level51 and Illegear also got rebrand the same laptop

Opinions on the gigabyte, decent but speakers suck, these chinese odm laptops never tune their speakers unlike the name brands

Performance per specs wise is actually quite solid, especially after count on the factor it’s a Dell (Dell tax anyone?).

What’s remain is to see if the build for this model is solid enough.

Neither.
Illegear/Level51 because laptop aftersales is more important than desktop.
