So i'm using laptop Lenovo Y520-15IKBN and recently the bluetooth stopped working. tried to reinstall driver and everything but the module was not found. wifi is working though but seems unstable randomly.

So, i'd like to ask if it's possible to upgrade my wifi card? i'd like to have wifi 6 compatible if possible.

currently the wifi card model is Intel® Wireless-AC 9260

please advise, thanks!

I upgraded my HP Elitebook 830 G6 from Intel Wireless-AC 9560 to ntel® AX200 Wi-Fi 6 card. It's been working great for the past 8 month. I suppose you laptop should be able to do the same too.

yup! after further digging I went ahead to change the one like you mentioned. Works flawlessly and even better, it somewhat fixed my intermittent wireless connection too! the wifi 6 definitely helped (my router is wifi 6 as well)

I think more people should try this upgrade if they don't wanna buy a new laptop biggrin.gif

Actually quiet easy to remove the wifi card. Just one or two screws, unplug the card out and the antenna. Then reverse for the new card

Like nvme ssd only

Good to know but mine was HP G4 it look awful to open alot of screw , last time service sent to individual (repair man lol) and the laptop missed something inside the screw probably , and the keyboard seem abit loose at top place , later sent to Vital for thermal paste and cleaning , and ask to topup wht ever missing like screw inside but nothing has improved . I dont know how to open i have got an iron hand lol i can twist and break mine .

Did you change the card yourself or did you get a technician to do it?

Diy yourself, be careful when installing the antenna.

Some Lenovo laptop models may have bios whitelist, which will limit installation of unauthorised 3rd party wifi cards.
