Most restaurants now charging RM5.99 per delivery. One restaurant that I patronize was charging RM0.99 now increased to RM3.99.

Why the reason for increasing, it is up to the restaurant or Food Panda?

Not sure because of losses or they want to capitalize on the meteoric rise of FoodPanda orders.

Now not only you have high delivery fees, but there is also 'busy' period that the fees are even higher than usual (if restaurant busy etc..)

The way I see it, they're trying to make as much $$$ as possible.

If I don't use a voucher (or voucher finished) I refuse to order.

So there are days I really want to order but no more voucher, I couldn't be bothered. Why pay more.

I try not to go out during this pandemic, not the distance that matters.

Most food operator in my area start abandoning FP and stick to Grab citing high comission.

No regulation of course they can charge whatever they want

Well i think getting food from foodpanda riders are even more risky since they touch lots of customer's packages (plastic bags) in a day.

Not to mention they meet more ppl face to face too.

But its really up to you to gauge which method is safer.

Why not use PandaPro? Its open to everyone rite? RM15 per month unlimited free delivery for orders over RM20. Plus multiple restaurants have 15% to 40% discount. Save alot and can recoup the cost over just 2 orders.

Air asia is different la. Air Asia is a loss making company. Read their financial report and u will know. Even food cannot save them.

These days some FP riders can even tell their customers to keep the coins pulak.

Also, the FoodPanda app isn't so smart, my order already got free delivery once I reach a certain amount, then the app still deduct my free delivery voucher. Had to reach out to customer service to get back my voucher.

Foodpanda pickup je if possible

supply of riders vs demand of customers.

Don't stick with food panda only. Check other app , usually they are cheaper.

Airasia also has but only limited choices but it is cheaper.

It same price as mcdelivery, if yiu have use mcdelivery before its more expensive then instore

Air Asia seems promising, but you can check the store itself sometime it use halo or lalmove that might be cheaper

I have this friend, mengidam punya pasal, sanggup beli 2pcs of Cream Puff priced at Rm5/each thru Food Panda app. And the delivery charge was RM4-ish.. LOL

Agree. If distance is around 2km, I'd just walk in to bungkus. Take it as exercise. Malaysian so lazy, no wonder fattest nation in Asia.

Some places in Penang yiu go order delivery is rm8.99 while grab same location charging rm5


Also they changed Panda Pro frm unlimited delivery over rm25 to 12x only. I even email ask them last month they promised no such changed after I show them the email I receive. Panda is now plain BS. I likely cancelling my subs at end of month
