I ban HGST products for voiding my warranty due to adhesive coming out of HDD. Since now its under WD, their HDDs are banned as well.

I only trust Seagate now. Their warranty service is top notch. Country mile faster than WD.

I suggest you get identical hdd just for raid 5, or for folder synchronization.
imagine suddenly 18TB suddenly kaput out of the blue, data recovery gonna cost a kidney.

Do 3-2-1 backup practice to secure your data.

I have not used these WD drives, but I have been using 4x 16TB Seagate Ironwolf in RAID-5 in my Synology NAS since the early 2020. No issues so far. Happy with their performance. I plan to add more of the same drives at a later date.

Beware of ordering internationally though, the drives tend to get damaged during shipping. I had 3 out of 4 that were shipped international to be DOA, and had to be returned for a refund (from Amazon USA, another seller in Japan). Those that were shipped to me when I was in the US and hand carried back, were fine. So definitely damaged during international shipping.

Amazon and Lazada - you should know the sites already. As for the particular items links, just search on the sites. Sellers, models and stock change all the time.
