QUOTE(krynzpeaches @ Oct 10 2007, 10:44 AM) Yes, gliders are not cheap because they are exotics not like hamsters. I wish they could've cost more infact. They can also live up to 10-15 years, so RM300 is nothing if you divide by 10 years lah. Yes, they are very fast and must never be left roaming/exploring without supervision, unless you don't mind losing them. Yes, they are active when they are awake and need lots of space to move around and glide. If they go missing or hiding, it will surely take you some time to find them and lotsa luck. NEVER TRUST A BREEDER OR SELLER THAT SAYS KEEPING GLIDERS ARE EASY - PERIOD! Wanna ask, do they need to take bath ah? Do they pee/poo like pup/cat? Can we use a soft chain to tie them around the neck? I don't know... To get the cage + bottle + food, how muchie ah? |

QUOTE(krynzpeaches @ Oct 10 2007, 02:59 PM) Regarding bathing, we have just discussed about in in the few post above. Do read up a bit and prove that reading or doing research is not something boring for you because there is plenty of stuff you need to read and research about suggies before getting them Thanks for the belly wonderful info. again. No, they don't poo or pee like cats/dogs, they basically do it wherever or whenever they want and that includes on you. No, they cannot be chained or harness or tie anything what so ever onto them. Free movements are important to them. However if you have a well bonded/trained suggie, they will be able to return to you when you call or when they are done playing/exploring. Cage, bottle and such varies on where you get them and such. But bear in mind they cannot be kept in small hamster cages, their cages need to be big and tall with a minimum of 3 feet (H) x 2 feet (W) x 2 feet (D), bigger is always better. Food is the most important and crucial part as their diet needs extra care in detail. Freshly prepared foods are a must everyday. So you need to be prepared to dedicate your time in preparing their meal at least twice a day according to their feeding time. For more regarding their diet, please refer to the diet section in the 1st page of this thread, I have compiled everything as detailed as possibly can. KP I will go through the diet section slowly. krynzpeaches: Can intro a few good breeders ah?
I think a cage + big sticks, they can do some circus tricks in here... Oh yea, do they make noise, or just soft noise like bird chirping? |

QUOTE(krynzpeaches @ Oct 11 2007, 09:58 AM) Breeders or joeys and such, please do thru PM only, thank you. Thanks for the belly wonderful info. Correction, a BIG cage and sticks or vines, not big sticks only. Although they will do their antics in the cage, it is also better to let them out once in a while Sugar gliders can make various types of noise, NO they don't just chirp softly. Here are some reference on the noises they make and what they mean. Click on the name of the noise to hear it. http://www.angelfire.com/nb/sugarglider/sounds/ KP A big cage + sticks + vines + big sticks. Yeah! Added on October 11, 2007, 8:47 pm QUOTE(coldfusionpower @ Oct 11 2007, 08:04 PM) wah so syiok .. even i havent been to afamosa resort .. even i live at melaka for two years .. hahaha Nice DIY cage there. ![]() ![]() Such a cute tail. Heh, but faster mar.
Yea, I think cable ties are safer. I can see that the cage size is pretty big, do you still need to release them daily? |
