Okay, I have an interest to adopt a sugar glider, but I already have a cat in the house. Has anyone here tried to introduce gliders to cats and not result in the cat having the glider for a snack? The cat is really tame and doesn't leave the house, it doesn't hunt birds, just lizards and roaches.
Of course I'll be getting a cage, but I'd like to be able to bring the glider out for bonding and play. I've seen a video on youtube showing a glider and a cat getting along well, so it shouldn't be impossible.
The cat has been my only pet for 2 years, it hasn't been introduced to any other small critter besides whatever you can see out the door.
I live in an apartment so I can't put the glider outside the house (people lalu-lalang)

I've already read the first page and googled about cats vs gliders before posting. I'm just wondering if anyone here has tried to introduce the 2 species together, how they did it, and how's the result. If it's possible, I want to have both of them in the same room (mainly because the only places I can put a large cage are accessible to the cat).
Or are there any methods to test the waters (to see how the cat would react)? If my cat cannot accept the glider, I'll have to throw my wishes out the window. =(

When adopting pairs, can we adopt both at the same time or seperately? Which option is better?
I'm thinking 2 females.
