lol
My Miko does the same thing but it's not cuz they're afraid. It hurts their eyes from dark to suddenly bright. Hurts you eyes too right? If you stay too long in the dark and suddenly on the lights.
*
lol if i didnt switch off the lights by 7pm something and they woke up, they still make the sound. "we're awake please switch off the lights we wanna go out n play" doh.gif
i've been living in the dark since few months sweat.gif
kinda used to it a bit ahahha

how to train them with lights? any such thing? tongue.gif

Eh, not really because it's natural for them to avoid light. They are nocturnal and they have large pupils like owls so they can see clearly in the dark. This is a natural thing, so you can't really train them to not respond to light.
*
owh ok. so i'll make do in the dark. just open the door and get some light source from outside tongue.gif

Don't need to make the room 24/7 dark. Just use a dark cloth or black T-shirt to cover the cage and let it be shaded from most of the light.

already covered with big black tshirt they still shy tongue.gif
covered 1/4 from top. still looking for warm light.

can't wait to neuter them tongue.gif

You mean cherry tomatoes and baby carrots? lol

Tried some Japanese Rock melon and Royal Mango, both were so sweet! Gliders polished the bowl by morning, but Miko doesn't seem to be putting on weight. Gave a little cashewnuts but she wouldn't take. Only Billie liked the cashewnuts.

Ppl must think I'm weird, smelling each fruit and getting sap on my nose. Hahaa... Actually, one way to see if the fruit will be sweet is to smell it. Fruits like melons and mangoes will smell quite fragrant. Out of most melons, only 1 I found smelled nice and out of a whole stack of mangoes, only managed to find 2 that smelled good. A little extra effort for sweeter fruits. biggrin.gif

Tried to look for that yummy papaya KP posted, but couldn't find any. sad.gif
*
usually for mangoes i'll keep them in fridge for few days before feeding them. most of the time i found they aren't ripe enough. they prefer softer fruits tongue.gif papayas is still no 1 in the rank but the poo a bit smelly doh.gif

I find that their pee don't normally smell.

Hamster pee is way different and worst.

Only their marking pee smells.

There's a difference between normal pee and marking pee.

The marking does smell and can stink like burning paper...
Yeah, normally it doesn't smell.
The Golden Papaya doesn't make their poo smelly rclxms.gif

Cool huh!

Recently Teddy lay low on eating his fruits. He would eat very little everyday compared to before. This happens since I feed him Hun's mix (about 1 1/2 spoon a day) which he finish till the last drop. Is this normal?

Anyway, some new pictures of Teddy. (please ignore the power rangers pillowcase tongue.gif)

Just wash, cut in half and serve. Easy stuff. Do limit to 1 cherry tomato a day and make sure no cherry vine or leaf coz that is poisonous.
Hmmm... adults? If adults, then is a bit high if untame ones. Adults are usually going for RM120 to RM150, although some places are offering adult males at RM60 to Rm100 each....

If it is a petshop, be aware, their stock are sometimes not healthy since they do not feed good food. I once went to a petshop, and he told me that gliders only eat Grapes and Kuaci.... Grapes can be toxic to gliders, kuaci is too high in fat and it can cause blockage or choking if the glider doesn't chew right.
Wahhh.... not raw honey! Only use Pure honey, which is what you usually find in supermarkets and organic shops coz it is pasturized, treated with the right temperature. Anyway, honey is not really good for gliders, licking treats are ok but a glider can get diarrhea if it takes too much honey. Also, some say it could lead to teeth problems.
LOL.... you feed the mix with fruits? That is normal loh.... you should feed the mix in the morning, then fruits at night.... if you feed both together, sure he will eat all the mix and won't wanna touch the fruits.
*
owhh really ka. i tot raw honey and pure honey is the same. shame on me blush.gif
lucky they take a few licks only.

Its all the mix fault for being so tasty and healthy he wont eat other food. Hehe~
