QUOTE(jitshiong @ Feb 15 2008, 01:23 PM) wait wait,i'm confused...treat or staple? Hehehe...sorri....i was out by the time u are confused. Hehehe...Luckily KP answered it for u...feed everyday in large amount to make them full or as treats? I meant, its staple food for cats...but can be treat for gliders la... Added on February 17, 2008, 11:17 amReanne, sorry...my hp goes haywire that day la... I cant wait for u at Hand n paws coz got an interview to catch. Anyway...thank u so so much... Yeah Dr Jenny was very helpful. Heheh.... Anyway, can sumone tell me whether soybean oil is safe for gliders? Bcoz Jenny had given me a shringe of sum nutrien supplement for puppies. N it contains soy oil. Afraid to give to Cheekoo yet until get sum confirmation from sumone that soy bean oil is ok. Jenny herself not so sure, thats y she ask me to check 1st n just give me a shringe of the supplement. She said bcoz this contains only the oil, not the protein...So? Anyone? Footnote: From www.glideruniversity.org: QUOTE Dangerous or Lethal Food List: Soy based products: May be a problem for sugar gliders. This has not been proven. QUOTE(jitshiong @ Feb 18 2008, 08:42 AM) Got such milk here? Yeah, i bought it online. I think Petshack shud have it too. How old is ur joey? How often u feed them depends on how old they are. If they r just OOP then every 2-3 hours. Anyway, they are about 7 weeks OOP. But still too little. And they are lacking fur. Though the fur has starts growing again, i just tot i need to try giving them the milk. Added on February 18, 2008, 8:58 amowh...n they've eaten other things as well. fruits, chicken, boiled or scrambled eggs, yogurts, yakult, fruit juice, baby food (but had not for quite sumtime), oat and glider mixed. mealworm, not yet, tried but they dun want. tuna dun want. eagle pack holistic cat food (treat) only just started. Koochee took it, Cheekoo didnt. This post has been edited by spel'it: Feb 18 2008, 08:58 AM |

QUOTE(jitshiong @ Feb 18 2008, 11:30 AM) If they r 7 weeks OOP then it's no longer a requirement to give them milk. thanks jitshiong..But u can feed them if they want it. For the meal worms, u should break it n then feed it to them. By 8th week they should be fully furred n the tail should be fluffy already. That would mean they r weaned, else u need to give them milk. i'll try to give them mealworm again. about the milk, i think i still need to feed Cheekoo with it. I dun think he's quite that furry yet. Koochee is a diff matter. She's bigger n quite fluffy. |

QUOTE(krynzpeaches @ Feb 18 2008, 12:53 PM) Her case is different jitshiong, she got the joeys too young and they haven't gotten enough milk since. Heheh...KP had nicely summarize the problem. I also dun know how to tell as gud as she did.A well and healthy joey will be fully furred by as little as 4 weeks OOP. The tails will start to poofed up at 5-6 weeks OOP and by 7-8 weeks will be really fluffed up. But he joey is not a matter of that, he is not well before and was practically naked at even his age right now. You can search back for some of the pixs then you'll understand. KP |

Hello... pictures of cheekoo with his fur starts growing back....
compared with the one before...it is an improvement rite? About mealies that i said i'd give them...i meant for Koochee to eat it. Not that i dun want Cheekoo to eat it, but being a lil small, well u know la my perception. But the thing is, Koochee didnt even touch it. Cheekoo ate it like mad. He was eating a mealie when i put down another so that Koochee can take it, but then he grabbed it with his other hand. Hahaha...So comey n greedy lil fella... Added on February 20, 2008, 9:48 am QUOTE(ayiesz @ Feb 20 2008, 03:43 AM) i use baby wipes. the guardian one is cheap So long had been since i wiped them. Afraid the new fur will disrupted again. So for the time being, i'd just bear with their smell. Luckily they dun smell that bad at all. Hehehe...now using sakura smell. very nice just wipe them with it.
