Added on February 8, 2008, 12:10 amN my joeys sure cant eat any mealworm or crickets yet.We presented them with like 10 mealie, but they totally ignore them. I guess need to feed them with eggs only for the time being.

N they also dun like vegies. Cucumber only lil only. Carrot totally ignore.

Fruits....Mangoes, they love it! Also frangrant pears, they'd go ga ga. Berebut. Papayas, pessimons, tembikai, honeydew, apples, quite ok. But jambu madu, guava, plum, peach, just so so only.

Yogurts n fruit juices, they love it. Mixed, Koochee will lick her portion til nothing's left. But Cheekoo, i have to force. Like, i need to rub a few drops on his mouth, then only he'll lick. Hmmm.....

So far, these are these are the foods that i feed them. I guess i want to try tuna next.

. . . . That's a virtually hairless glider. O.o

Though they're cute, it may be a symptom or a sign of an underlying problem.

Gimme a call, it needs to be looked at by a vet.

Im in kerteh at the mo. But i'd be in shah alam for an interview on friday. Friday evening or nite, got no plan. U free? maybe i can give u a col or we can meet up somewhere?

wah so young? sweat.gif
yet so tame... envy u tongue.gif

my sg would heave been running trying to find hiding place if i bring him out in a clear day. even in the car.

joey: i hate the lights. it makes me a star. i'm no better than anybody else. let me hide!
*
yups..they are so young. i brought them eveywhere i go. and i ignore their crabbing. meaning to say, if they do crab, i stroke them gently and pick them up and cuddle them. they wud calm down and wud instantly sleep on me.
i guess that's how they got so 'manja' with me. even lil, cheekoo wud 'kejar2' to get onto me.

but as reanne say, im still worried about him not having fur like joeys normally do.

OK, i will try to modify the drawing using the angle plate once i find time to do so and let me know will that be better,OK?

spel'it and rafiqos,
Appreciate your helpful suggestion..

Added on February 9, 2008, 5:15 pmemino, your new avatar is very nice..i like it very much..

Added on February 9, 2008, 5:16 pmWell, just came back from a long journey, i miss my pets as well as this forum..

spel'it,

Despite everything, i do agree with you that cheekoo has baldness on its body..
Do you or anybody knows what kind of underlying symptom this is? Is there a cure?
Anyway, CheeKoo and KooChee look bigger now as compared the pix some time ago, when you first bought them.
You are doing a good job, spel'it.
*
No prob for the suggestion.
Yups, Cheekoo is quite bald. Worrying too. Will get him n Koochee for a vet checkup when im in KL.
Dun think here the vets are familiar with exotic animals like suggies.
Will get back to you when i got the results.

QUOTE(malowie @ Feb 9 2008, 05:21 PM)
cheekoo looks a bit sickly.
how old is he?
*
He's approximately (using's KP word, hehe) 6-7 weeks OOP.
But i guess he was separated from his mother far too young. And we didnt know it before. Until i consulted KP.

Well, a few websites on the net sure is misleading...hmmm....they said, the younger the better.
Luckily we bump into this forum tho AFTER we bought them. So, im trying to give the best that i can and do damage control as much as i can. Bcoz i do love them so so much already.

QUOTE(krynzpeaches @ Feb 9 2008, 08:43 PM)
Yeah, without flash sometimes the pix not good and blur summore...

I used to worry too, but I don't take it too close to their face lah and I read that they could get used to it, just not too often lah smile.gif

Wish I have a damn good SLR weii... Without flash also, pix turned out superb!

*speaking of that, will have to upload the pixs on Monday lah as my broadband at home is too slow for that kind of stuff smile.gif*
Hahaha, I'd imagine all 3 of us bringing our babies to the vet and waiting anxiously for their surgery to be over laugh.gif
Honey, that is one bald joey! Or more like half naked joey!

Looks worrying lah...

Do get in touch with Reanne when you are here, I'm sure she'll guide you to a good vet...

Please bring them see a vet asap kay...
Hissing when poo or pee?

Could be having difficulties to do their biz... If prolonged and not treated correctly, could lead/be UTI (Urinary Tract Infection)

I can't remember correctly the home remedy, I think it's apple juice... Will check with Hun or Reanne to be sure...

spel'it and rafiqos,

Finally, i have decided on hollow section 1 inch square bar and drill two holes there, fasten with screws, replacing the previous flat plate and bracket. Angle plate is not suited with this in consideration for tying cable ties..you know anything that can replace cable ties? Not satisfactory with cable ties. Aluminium plate or sth like that? I want to check out this aluminium plate soon..

well, here's a layout of the section ..

user posted image

Do you think this is more improved and straightforward than the previous one?

Added on February 12, 2008, 11:12 pmKP, I can see from the pix why Iggy is much adored.
What does it mean by ignatius, sorvo, corromandel.. a foreign term to me. It may be a name probably.
*
Well...i can see sum improvement. looks more sturdy but y need to screw one? heheh...
i tot u try welding to do this project one...
hehehe....
well, like i suggested to u before u can use the angle iron. the "L" shaped ones... they got sizes like 2" x 2" or 1" x 1". becoz, i've seen my subordinates do a lot of welding, angle iron does help to eliminate the amount of welding and cutting and the use of nuts n bolts or brackets.

but mind u, it's only an opinion tho. diff ppl diff ways. ur blueprint is still nice.
n i can see u put a lot of effort into this cage making. kudos silverwineus!! keep us posted k?

First off, nice drawing!

Although not using angle plates, which may actually reduce the number of welds needed. An angle bar has only two surfaces (L) requiring welding for a single attachment, a square bar on the other hand has 4.

Anyway, I do think it's a good idea to use the steel plate to wedge the mesh in place, securing it with little nuts and bolts. This will in the end make your cage more pleasing to the eye, neat! It's will look supercool if the cutting and welding is done by an experienced hand. A shaky first timer may face some problems in this area tho, a clean weld bead is not as simple to make as one may assume!

Don't let this in anyway put you down! Your idea is worth attempting! Best of luck and do post more of your drawings and progress. I'm really interested to see how it turns out! nod.gif

Right on Rafiqos. Hehehe...

Update on Cheekoo

Dear All, I just got back from the vet that Reanne had suggested. *at the interviewer office rite now*
From the consultation, she just said that cheekoo just lacking of protein n fatty acid. Protein for the cell building and fatty acid for silky fur.
Other than that she said they both look like sum healthy joey. Just need to varied their source of protein and all.
Thanks Reanne!

But personally i think Cheekoo is getting better coz his fur had already grown back. only not as long and as bushy as Koochee's.
N guys, cat or dog treat that u usually give is eagle pack n origen rite? At the vet just now, she got only the eagle pack for dogs.
I'm afraid to buy that one coz there is a source from pork. Being a muslim, i dun think its appropriate for me to handle it. *No offense k guys*
Im wondering if the cat one or the origen the same?

Another thing is the nutrien that the vet suggested has some soybean oil in its ingredient. Is it safe for the glider?
