Thank you spel'it!

Thank you Hun!

Yeah, Iggy is my handsome boy!

His black markings is more prominent and darker than the rest. Look at rings around his eyes! I just love it when he looks at me wub.gif

Hahaha laugh.gif

Ohh, yesterday I went to Carrefour and was drawn by this sweet smell at the fruit area... I followed my nose and found that they were having a promo sort of thing with some types of fruits including papaya. And guess what? The sweet smell was the papaya!

Goodness, I have never smelt a sweet papaya like that!

Ofcourse I bought one lah...

Can't remember the name of it, golden or fragrant papaya or something... sweat.gif

Here's how it looks like smile.gif

Ohh and it is really sweet and crunchy! My monsters clean up their bowl last night and their poo is not as bad as after eating a normal papaya! Not smelly!

When I woke up early today, I see Teddy plays all by himself on the cage. Then when I walk to the cage, he was suprised, make a mistake in jumping and BAM, jatuh ke bawah. sweat.gif

Then he goes into crazy, frenzy mode where he keeps jumping and jumping and affraid of every moving thing. Hopefully he'll calm down after I return home today.

BTW, My mealworms started to turn black and produce god awful smell, so I guess its time to get new ones huh?
And my honey dew stock da habis. Huhu~ It was Teddy's favourite.

So maybe I should try some new stuffs such as cucumber.

Any advice on which baby food safe for gliders?

onezkatana,

I have no friggin idea tongue.gif

My photographer's camera. All I know is it's Nikon D200! icon_rolleyes.gif

*According to my Photoshop data, it says something about lens 50.0mm f/1.8*

emino,

Do you put oat beddings for your mealworms?

Normally that would make it last longer and really less smell smile.gif

If I find those black ones, I just normally pick them out and throw it away.

Baby food not too much yah, the mix is better smile.gif

If you wanna try, like spel'it said Heinz is better wink.gif

Rolled oats do lower cholesterol. It's not really only specific brands.

Read here. biggrin.gif

http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=f...#healthbenefits

I don't use oats for my mealworms, I use a lot of wheat bran. I find it better than oats.

Wah! Iggy! Nice pics. thumbup.gif

Yo, welcome back.

Bought some blueberries today. Slowly chose the ripest ones and gave the gliders, sniff sniff and then ngap! *runs away with berry in mouth*
*
Reanne, i know blueberries is good for gliders. Where can you get it and how does it look like here locally?
Reanne, if not mistaken, wheat bran/oat is use as bedding for mealworms right? To preserve the mealies or as a food source for the mealies?
Will this bran-oat bedding be like a magnet that draws for eg ants insects..if expose?

Yeah, tomatoes are great especially if you get those slightly sweet ones wink.gif

Buttercup, the easiest rule to remember about fruit seeds is, if the fruit seeds YOU CAN eat, generally, it's safe for them... Like tomato seeds, dragon fruit seeds, kiwi seeds and so on... But if the fruit seeds YOU CANNOT eat, then you have to remove them before feeding you suggies. Like apple seeds, watermelon seeds, mango seed tongue.gif Okay icon_rolleyes.gif
Yeah, once they are bonded to you, you can take them out in public cuz they will most likely stick to you cuz they only recognize you as their safest tree smile.gif

Thanks!

I hope Photobucket is okay today, gonna upload summore pixs wink.gif

Yeah, I also use the normal nail clipper smile.gif I bought one normal sharp nail clipper specially for my pets nail trimming wink.gif

spel'it and rafiqos,

Finally, i have decided on hollow section 1 inch square bar and drill two holes there, fasten with screws, replacing the previous flat plate and bracket. Angle plate is not suited with this in consideration for tying cable ties..you know anything that can replace cable ties? Not satisfactory with cable ties. Aluminium plate or sth like that? I want to check out this aluminium plate soon..

well, here's a layout of the section ..

Do you think this is more improved and straightforward than the previous one?

You can find blueberries in almost any super or hyper market, but the ones I bought were from Carrefour in Midvalley. They're in the chilled area near the bread and buns. They look like deep dark blueberries in a flat square plastic container with a green tape wrapped round it. Decided to buy because they all did not have any signs of fungus or mold growing, which means they're not old stock and they were plumpish and juicy looking.

It's bedding and food source for the mealies. Anything you put in the mealie tank will be eaten, so when they say bedding for mealies, also means food. No, it will not draw any insects unless the mealworms themselves die.

Sometimes gliders do go into a energy spurt, some is from excitement, some comes from fright or shock or surprised.... but it generally is ok lah.

Your mealworms.... how do you keep them? Even without an oat or wheat bedding, as long you leave them in an open container, they should not die. Mealworms need lots of ventilation.... and also food from veggies and dog/cat kibble....

Go with other fruits. I usually visit those small fruit stalls and get a few sliced fruits to keep at home. But now with so many gliders at home, I need to go to pasar malam to get bags of fruit hahahah.

Try plums, ciku, guava, persimmon, sugar apples.... yummy!

Babyfood.... Heinz is good but if you can afford an extra RM2, go and get the Organic babyfood..... much better, some even got chicken and turkey. Just read the ingredients and make sure no onion and garlic. Some babyfood contain onion and garlic.

If you got cash, you should try Cherries! My gliders all love cherries alot. Expensive but super sedap. Also, rambutans are a favourite as well.

Well...i can see sum improvement. looks more sturdy but y need to screw one? heheh...
i tot u try welding to do this project one...
hehehe....
well, like i suggested to u before u can use the angle iron. the "L" shaped ones... they got sizes like 2" x 2" or 1" x 1". becoz, i've seen my subordinates do a lot of welding, angle iron does help to eliminate the amount of welding and cutting and the use of nuts n bolts or brackets.

but mind u, it's only an opinion tho. diff ppl diff ways. ur blueprint is still nice.
n i can see u put a lot of effort into this cage making. kudos silverwineus!! keep us posted k?

Ditto CFP! rclxms.gif

It's Iggy's full name lah wink.gif

Ignatius = Iggy for short wink.gif

It's a book character(or more like an animal character name in a book sweat.gif )

"Igantius Sorvo Corromandel" is actual a CAT character in the book Secret Country wink.gif And Iggy is also the short name to the cat smile.gif
